Longevity Recognition. The District wishes to recognize the longevity and loyalty of those members who have devoted 20 or more years to education (commencing with Step 19). The Association has the option of choosing one of the following for those members with 20 or more years as a certificated teacher.
Longevity Recognition. SECTION 1. In the 20th year of employment, and each subsequent year through the 24th year of employment, each member will be entitled to one (1) day off at his regular rate of pay to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time with the supervisor. This day must be taken within one (1) year of the anniversary date. This day shall be indicated on the employee’s time sheet as “LRD” (Longevity Recognition Day). In the 25th year of employment, and each subsequent year through the twenty-ninth (29th) year, each member will be entitled to three (3) days off at his regular rate of pay to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time with the supervisor. These three (3) days must be taken within one (1) year of the anniversary date. These days shall be indicated on the employee’s time sheet as “LRD” (Longevity Recognition Days). In the thirtieth (30th) year of employment, and each subsequent year thereafter, each member will be entitled to four (4) days off at his regular rate of pay to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time with the supervisor. These four (4) days must be taken within one (1) year of the anniversary date. These days shall be indicated on the employee’s time sheet as “LRD” (Longevity Recognition Days). These days are not subject to carryover or conversion to sick time. If you retire or voluntarily leave the payroll, all eligible LRD days shall be paid out to the employee.
Longevity Recognition. The Superintendent will receive an additional salary increase equal to 2% of his or her current salary when they accumulate 15, 20, and 25 years of administrative service as superintendent within Rainier School District.
Longevity Recognition. For the 201617 fiscal year, each employee who is on Step 8 and does not receive a step movement in accordance with article 17.5 shall receive three (3) percent more than the Step 8 hourly rate. This is a one (1) percent wage increase from 201516. Beginning with the 201718 fiscal year, the Longevity Recognition becomes a step three (3) percent more than the Step 8 hourly rate. A 1.25% increase will be applied to this Longevity Recognition step received by each employee who is on Step 8 and does not receive a step movement in accordance with article 17.5. For the 201819 fiscal year, an additional 1.75% increase will be applied to the Longevity Recognition step received by each employee who is on Step 8 and does not receive a step movement in accordance with article 17.5.
Longevity Recognition. In addition to salary increases provided in Section 9.3 above, Foundation recognizes certain employment milestones by granting salary increments to covered employees effective on the anniversary date of their employment. Effective January 1, 2013, the following longevity increments shall be in effect: 5 years $675.00 7 years $925.00 10 years $1,675.00 15 years $2,175.00 20 years $2,675.00 25 years $3,175.00 30 years $3,675.00
Longevity Recognition. It is understood that any day(s) for which the teacher receives longevity recognition cannot be carried into retirement as outlined by the Maine Public Employees Retirement System. Should a teacher have and choose to carry unused sick days into retirement, the payment of longevity recognition would only be applied to those days above and beyond days counted toward retirement. (Maine Public Employees Retirement System allows credit days for up to ninety (90) days of unused and unpaid sick leave.) A teacher who has accumulated at least twenty (20) years of teaching service to the Hermon School Department and who has accumulated unused sick time of thirty (30) days of more in addition to the ninety (90) days that may be carried into retirement, shall be eligible for longevity recognition provided that the teacher presents his/her written resignation and the written request for longevity recognition no later than February 1st of the year of retirement. Longevity recognition payments will be paid after July 1st of the year of retirement. A teacher who meets the standards described above shall be paid the equivalent of thirty (30) days at the base rate of the salary scale not to exceed $6,000.
Longevity Recognition. Beginning with the 2014-15 fiscal year, each employee who is on Step 8 and does not receive a step movement in accordance with article 17.5 shall receive an additional one (1) percent wage increase. Beginning with the 2015-16 fiscal year, each employee who is on Step 8 and does not receive a step movement in accordance with article 17.5 shall receive an additional one (1) percent wage increase for a total of a two (2) percent longevity recognition wage increase.
Longevity Recognition. An employee who has worked at RSH as a registered nurse for 25 years or more shall not be required to work Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
Longevity Recognition. Certificated employees who have been placed on the District salary schedule Step 16, Lane 7, for at least one (1) full year shall receive one (1) additional personal leave day per year for every five (5) years of service beyond sixteen (16) years of service to a maximum of four (4) additional days. Employees may cash out these days at the 2:1 ratio and may accrue no more than a maximum of ten (10) personal days. All days are subject to the provisions of the personal leave section of the contract Article XII - Section 12.17.
Longevity Recognition. A. Upon completion of full years of service, employees shall receive longevity pay increases in salary. The increase will be made on the anniversary date of hire upon completion of the years indicated below: 5 – 9 yrs. 3% 10 – 14 yrs. 4% 15 – 19 yrs. 5% 20 – 24 yrs. 6% 25 – 29 yrs. 7% 30 + yrs. 8%
B. Longevity calculation shall be based on the initial date of hire for the eligible employee without a break in service regardless of the classification in which the employee has served. Placement on the reemployment list (39- month rehire list) subsequent restoration will include the longevity step which was earned by the employee at the time of separation.
C. Effective July 1, 2021 and in addition to the above, employees shall receive a Longevity Stipend at the following benchmarks:
