Meal and Relief Periods. An employee will be granted meal and relief periods during basic hours of work shifts in accordance with the table shown in subsection A5.05(b).
Meal and Relief Periods. The parties agree that for the purposes of Article 13.02, the following shall apply:
(a) On the day shift tour, unpaid meal breaks will normally fall between 1130 and 1330 hours (for the lunch break) and 1700 and 1815 hours (for the supper break). On the night shift tour, unpaid meal breaks will normally fall between 2330 and 0100 hours (for the first break) and 0400 and 0500 hours (for the second break).
(b) The Hospital will take reasonably practical means to ensure that nurses receive their meal breaks during the appropriate time periods and that nurses are permitted to leave the Hospital during such meal breaks.
Meal and Relief Periods. All employees are entitled to meal and relief periods as follows: Shifts less than five (5) hours One (1) paid fifteen (15) minute relief period Shifts in excess of five (5) hours of more, but less than eight (8) hours One (1) paid fifteen (15) minute relief period Thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period Eight (8) hour shifts Two (2) paid fifteen (15) minute relief periods Thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period Extended tour shifts of twelve (12) hours Forty-five (45) paid minutes total as outlined in Article 13.02 Forty-five (45) minute unpaid meal period Upon mutual agreement between the Hospital and the employee, daily relief periods may be taken together but may not be taken at the start or end of their shift.

Meal and Relief Periods. A lunch break of not less than thirty (30) minutes nor more than one (1) hour shall be allowed approximately midway of each shift. An additional lunch period of thirty (30) minutes shall be allowed when a bargaining unit member works continuously for more than two (2) hours before or after the normal shift, and such additional lunch period shall be considered as time worked. However, the additional lunch period must be claimed within thirty (30) calendar days from the end of the pay period in which it was earned. In the event that a bargaining unit member is recalled within two (2) hours of the termination of their normal shift, the bargaining unit member shall be granted a meal break in accordance with the other provisions of this paragraph.
Meal and Relief Periods. The parties agree that nurses will be provided meal and relief periods as per Article at flexible times during the tour and such shall be scheduled at the nurses' professionaljudgement dictates.
Meal and Relief Periods. Employees covered by this Agreement shall be allowed one (1) thirty (30) minute paid meal period within the initial six (6) consecutive hours of work and two (2) fifteen (15) minute paid relief breaks during each shift. If the employee is required to work an excess of ten (10) consecutive hours on any assigned shift, the employee shall be required to take a second thirty (30) minute unpaid meal break during the last five (5) hours of the assigned shift.

18.1 Meal Break
X. Xxxxx-two (42) Hour Schedule:
1. A duty-free meal break of not less than thirty (30) minutes nor more than one (1) hour shall be allowed approximately midway of each shift. Officers assigned to forty-two (42) hour work schedules shall be allowed to leave the institution while taking meal breaks.
2. Meal breaks, which are not given, shall be reported before the end of the shift. If a Bargaining Unit member does not report the missed meal break, it will be assumed the break was taken. Missed meal breaks will be treated as time worked and will be paid at the applicable rate. When an 84-hour Bargaining Unit Member works a 42-hour shift, the Bargaining Unit Member shall be granted a missed meal break in accordance with the provisions in this paragraph.
3. An additional meal break of thirty (30) minutes shall be allowed when a Bargaining Unit Member works continuously for two (2) hours or more before or after the normal work day, and such additional meal break shall be considered as time worked.
4. In the event the Bargaining Unit Member is recalled within two (2) hours of the termination of their normal work day, the Bargaining Unit Member shall be granted a meal break in accordance with other provisions of this Article.
B. Eighty-four (84)
Meal and Relief Periods. Each employee, except the Juvenile Center direct-care staff, shall receive an unpaid meal period of sixty (60) minutes and a paid fifteen (15) minute relief period in the morning and in the afternoon. Direct-care staff employees at the Juvenile Center shall eat a meal while on duty, as scheduled by the Employer. There shall be no relief periods scheduled at the Juvenile Center for direct- care staff employees.
