Midnight Shifts. The following rules shall apply to employees working a regularly scheduled midnight shift subject to emergencies as defined in Article 5.07:

Midnight Shifts. Employees hired prior to June 30, 2010 scheduled to work midnight shifts shall only be scheduled by mutual agreement. An Employee who mutually agrees to work midnight shifts shall sign a scheduling agreement containing a start and end date reflecting a four (4) month time frame commitment. This Agreement shall expire at the end of the four (4) month period unless renewed in writing by the affected parties. This Letter of Agreement shall not apply to Employees who post into Positions which state the working of midnight shifts may be required. It is understood that day and evening shifts are considered to be a separate schedule from the midnight shift. Employees cannot exercise seniority rights for hours between day/evening and midnight shifts. Midnight shifts will be highlighted on the schedule.
Midnight Shifts. Employees working the midnight shift shall be paid a shift differential of seventy cents (70¢) per hour. The midnight shift is defined as a shift in which the major portion of the hours worked fall between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m.
Midnight Shifts. Any shift starting between midnight and five-thirty (5:30) a.m. will be guaranteed eight (8) hours work or pay in lieu thereof, except that, by mutual agreement between Employer, Union and associate, such shifts may be less than eight (8) hours.
Midnight Shifts. All Employees (except those in receipt of legal exemption) will be required to work midnight shifts. These shifts will not exceed twenty five (25) nights in any calendar year. Reasonable efforts will be used to allow seven (7) week intervals between shifts (excludes Regional Centres). As a principle, NRMA will use reasonable efforts to locate volunteers for any temporary shift, days or team variations, however, where a volunteer cannot be located the minimum notice provided for in this clause shall apply.
Midnight Shifts. The following rules shall apply to employees working a regularly scheduled midnight shift: i) midnight shifts shall commence at 12:01 a.m., five (5) nights per week; ii) as an alternative to (i) above, one 12:01 a.m. shift may be worked on any night of the week; iii) an employee's shift during one (1) week shall fall within the same eighteen (18) hour span. The above sub-clauses shall be subject to emergencies as defined in Section 5(a)(2) of this Agreement. No employee shall be required to work alone on the premises on night shift. Employees scheduled to work midnight shift(s) shall be given the day prior to the start of the first midnight shift of the week as a scheduled day off.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Unworked Holidays Employees shall receive eight (8) hours pay for unworked holidays (reference Appendix A), at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs, plus applicable shift differential, if, on the holiday, they are either on the active payroll or not on leave of absence for longer than ninety calendar days. Employees not on leave of absence who take leave without pay (LWOP) at the time the holiday occurs shall be eligible for holiday pay.

  • Daylight Saving Time The changing of Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time, or vice versa, shall not result in Employees being paid more or less than their normal scheduled daily hours. The hour difference shall be split between the Employees completing their shift and those commencing their shift.

  • Daylight Savings Time Employees required to work more than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or more than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time shall be paid for the additional hour worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Employees required to work less than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or less than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from standard time to daylight savings time shall be paid for the actual hours worked. Employees may use vacation time or compensatory time to make up for the one (1) hour lost. Employees in the first six (6) months of employment who would be eligible to accrue vacation, may be advanced one (1) hour of vacation time which shall either be deducted from their vacation leave balance, or deducted from their last paycheck if the employee is separated prior to accruing vacation.
