Military and War Leave. An employee who is a member of a Reserve Unit of the armed forces or National Guard Reserve shall be entitled to leave with pay for military training for a period of not more than 15 workdays annually with pay and without charge against leave. Employees of the College are covered by the Uniformed Services Employee and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), 38 USC §§ 4301 through 4333. This law helps to preserve rights to leave afforded by the FMLA. The College shall provide military administrative leave to eligible employees according to State law.

Military and War Leave. An employee who is a member of the National Guard, of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard Reserve shall be entitled to a Leave of Absence for military training for a period of not more than fifteen (15) workdays (pro-rated for part-time employees) in any calendar year without loss of pay or charge to any leave. Leave due to call-up to active military duty during a national or international crisis or conflict shall be in accordance with the University System of Maryland policy.

Leave due to call-up to active military duty during a national or international crisis or conflict shall be in accordance with the "Policy on call-up to active military duty during a national or international crisis or conflict". Copies of all orders to report to duty must be furnished to HR upon receipt.

  • Military Family Leave Employees may use vacation leave for leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.13.

If the training time for which the employee is called to active duty is longer than fifteen (15) calendar days, the employee may be paid for the first fifteen (15) days only if such time is served for the purpose of discharging an obligation of annual active duty for training in the military reserve or National Guard.
