Mutuals. Subject to the following guidelines, a shift employee may exchange scheduled work days with another employee: (a) these arrangements are not considered a change of schedule and time worked in excess of scheduled hours to a mutual change will not be paid at overtime rates; (b) mutual changes will only be considered when shift team strength and emergency response requirements are sufficient to minimize risk to the operation; (c) mutual change will not result in additional cost to the Company; (d) mutual changes must be documented (day off and reciprocal day specified) in advance and approved by the Leaders of both employees involved; The Company reserves the right to cancel the use of mutuals for any employee if it feels that operations have been disrupted or that this privilege is being overused. The Company also reserves the right to cancel or curtail the use of mutuals where such action is deemed necessary to permit employees to take a sufficient amount of rest time.
Mutuals a. Employees may exchange working days and days off providing such requests are made in writing and are approved by the Employer. b. Full Time and Part Time employees shall receive two (2) mutual per schedule. Full Time employees who accept call ins will be granted additional mutual to a maximum of four (4) total mutual per schedule. c. Requests for mutuals involving weekend shifts must be made by 1:00 p.m. Tuesday for approval. Approvals for requests for mutuals involving weekend shifts shall be given by 1:00 pm Thursday, however requests shall only be considered for the period of the posted schedule. d. In cases where the Employer permits an employee to exchange shift(s) with another employee within the same classification, the Employer shall not be responsible or liable for any overtime claims or noncompliance with scheduling provisions which may arise as a result of the exchange of shifts.
Mutuals. Employees shall be permitted to trade workdays and shifts upon written approval from the Employer. Employees must be trained and qualified for the position they are filling. Employees are responsible for the obligations incurred as a result of such agreed upon trades. Employees may not make such trades if it would require the employee to work more than forty (40) hours per workweek.
Mutuals. Any time there is a Lieutenant work- ing on a shift, whether it is a regular shift, a “mutual” or otherwise, no Acting Lieutenant will be appointed for that shift.

Paid lunch shall not be considered time worked for the purpose of overtime or for calculating hours worked. Effective March 7, 1996, the above paid lunch is applicable only when there is one (1) person on duty. Effective July 1, 1996 paid lunch will be provided to day shift attendant and housekeeper only when the Administrator/DOC or designate is not on site during lunch break and there is only one (1) attendant and one (1) housekeeper on site.
