Newly Hired Employee. Newly hired employees shall be considered to be on probation for a period of sixty (60) tours worked from date of last hire (four hundred and fifty [450] hours of work for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard workday). If retained after the probationary period, the employee shall be credited with seniority from the date of last hire. With the written consent of CAMH, the probationary employee and the President of the Local Union or his designate, such probationary period may be extended. It is understood and agreed that any extension to the probationary period will not exceed an additional sixty (60) tours (four hundred and fifty [450] hours of work for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard work day) worked or such lesser period as may be agreed by the parties. During the probationary period, the employee shall be entitled to all rights under this Agreement unless specifically amended by this Agreement or by the terms dictated by benefit plan carriers. The release of a probationary employee shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. Employees are not eligible to compete for job vacancies until after their probationary period has been successfully concluded.
Newly Hired Employee. A newly hired employee shall be on probation for a period of six (6) months from her/his date of hire into a permanent position. After three (3) months, the Employer shall review the work performance of the employee and submit the evaluation to the employee. Prior to the expiration of the six (6) month probationary period and upon mutual agreement, between the Employer and the Union, an extension of up to two (2) months may be granted.
Newly Hired Employee. At the end of each full month of completed service in the first full year of employment, a newly hired employee shall earn sick leave at the rate of one (1) day per month to the maximum annual allowance. Thereafter, beginning with the second year of employment, the full allotment of sick days shall be credited and prorated for the remainder of the fiscal year. Thereafter, a full year of sick leave allotment will be credited on July 1st of the following fiscal year.

Contract and Temporary employees can compete for vacancies as found in Article 2 - Employee Definitions.
Newly Hired Employee. A newly hired employee shall be entitled to receive their regular pay for a General Holiday that falls within thirty (30) calendar days of commencement of employment, provided the employee has earned wages for at least fifteen (15) days prior to the General Holiday.

Newly Hired Employee. The County agrees to give the Local Union President written notice of the name, title and salary of newly-hired employees in the Bargaining Unit.
