One, Informal. An employee alleging a violation of the expressed provisions of this agreement shall, within seven days of its alleged occurrence or of the time he/she should have been aware of its occurrence, orally discuss the grievance with his/her program supervisor.
One, Informal. A unit member grievant shall attempt to resolve the situation giving rise to the grievance by an informal conference with the grievant’s immediate supervisor or other appropriate administrator. The Federation when acting as the grievant shall on its own behalf initiate a grievance by attempting to resolve the situation giving rise to the grievance through a conference with the appropriate administrator having lowest level of authority over the situation. Three (3) days shall be allowed for this informal process to resolve the grievance. If the informal process fails to resolve the grievance, the grievant may initiate the formal grievance process in accordance with the following: a. A grievance involving only one employee or group of employeesshall be initiated at Step One, Formal as defined below. b. A grievance involving more than one employee may be initiated atStep Two as defined below. c. A grievance involving Federation rights may be initiated at Step Twoas defined below.
One, Informal. Section 10.3.1. Prior to filing a written statement of grievance, the employee and administrator must have met in a personal meeting and attempted to resolve the issue. Section 10.3.2. Within fifteen (15) working days of the time an incident arises, or knowledge thereof exists, the employee will submit the grievance in writing to his/her principal, immediate supervisor or the administrator whose decision caused the alleged grievance, with copies sent to the Superintendent and President of the Association. Section 10.3.3. The statement of grievance shall name the employee involved, shall state the facts giving rise to the grievance, shall identify by appropriate reference the provision(s) of this Agreement alleged to have been violated, shall state the contention of the employee with respect to those provision(s), shall state when the personal meeting occurred prior to filing the grievance, shall state whether the grievant requests an additional meeting, and shall state the specific relief requested. Section 10.3.4. Upon the request of either the grievant or the administrator, a meeting will be held to discuss the grievance before a written response is provided. Both the employee and the administrator may invite representatives, facilitators or resource persons to attend this meeting. Section 10.3.5. Within ten (10) working days after receipt of the grievance, the principal, immediate supervisor or appropriate administrator shall communicate his/her answer in writing to the grievant.

One, Informal. ‌ The employee and supervisor shall attempt to resolve potential grievances within twenty (20) days of the action which gave rise to the grievance. The parties shallhave ten (10) days to reach a resolution. The District will communicate via District e-mail the outcome of Step 1 to the grievant. However, should such informal process fail to satisfy the claimant, then a grievance may be processed through the following steps.
