The extension of the existing Keur Xxxxx Xxxx Purification Plant (KMS3) mentioned above in the Plan for the Mobilization of Water Resources in the Dakar Region is to be financed by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the EIB, among others.

Other Donors’ Activities. In the area of basic education, several donors are providing support through mutual partnerships in line with the Moroccan government's strategy for the 'Promotion of Equitable and Quality Education.' In May 2019, the World Bank agreed to the 'Education Support Program' (hereinafter "ESP") ("Program For Results" type financing; program amount of US$ 500 million), which supports the Moroccan government's efforts to reinforce the foundation for learning in pre-school and basic education. Additionally, in coordination with the World Bank's (3) pillar, USA's Millennium Challenge Corporation ("MCC") is currently providing training to people involved in the 'School Improvement Project' (hereinafter "SIP") by conducting a pilot program across 90 secondary schools in three northern provinces. Meanwhile, the United States Agency for International Development ("USAID") is providing technical cooperation for curriculum revision in the subjects of Arabic, English and Science, Technology, and Engineering in primary and lower secondary education.

On February 12, 2015, the Executive Board of the IMF approved a 4-year EFF amounting to approximately US$ 17.5 billion, of which approximately US$ 6.7 billion had been provided to Ukraine by the end of August 2015. Furthermore, the US announced its plan to provide an extra US$ 2.0 billion in financial assistance (loan guarantee) in January 2015, and Ukraine issued US-backed bonds of US$ 1.0 billion in May 2015. Other Donors’ Activities. Regarding the assistance for policy formation in the water supply and sanitation sector, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has, through the Second-Generation Sanitation Sector Reform Program (a policy program loan), cooperated with Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in supporting capacity building for the MVCS, the ministry in charge of water supply and sanitation sector, as well as institutional improvements in public corporations in charge of water supply and sanitation service. Regarding the assistance for the water supply and sanitation sector in coastal areas and urban areas, JICA, KfW and the World Bank have co-financed Northern Lima Metropolitan Area Water Supply and Sewerage Optimization Project (I), through which cooperate in optimization and rehabilitation of the degraded water supply and sewerage pipe network in the northern Lima metropolitan area. Regarding the assistance for the water supply and sanitation sector in mountainous areas, the IDB has implemented projects for the development of water supply and sanitation facilities especially targeting the southern mountainous regions, through the program called the Programa de Mejoramiento y Ampliación de Servicios de Agua y Saneamiento en Perú (Program for the Improvement and Expansion of Water and Sanitation Services in Peru, PROCOES), commissioned by the Spanish Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through technical cooperation, IDB is also providing support for the construction of a model that promotes water supply and sanitation connections in rural areas in the mountainous areas. The World Bank provides assistance for the development of water supply and sanitation facilities and the improvement of existing system in the mountainous regions though the program called Programa Nacional de Agua y Saneamiento Rural (PRONASAR). Regarding the assistance for the water supply and sanitation sector in the Amazonian region, the World Bank has provided assistance through PRONASAR, but there is no overlap with the candidate communities covered by this project.
Other Donors’ Activities. The World Bank (hereinafter referred to as the “IBRD”) is providing aid in the form of water supply and sanitation facility improvements, system improvements, etc. for rural areas through loans to rural water supply and sanitation improvement programs. Moreover, under the Northern Lima Metropolitan Area Water Supply and Sewerage Optimization Project (I), it is undertaking the rehabilitation of the northern Lima metropolitan area’s aging water supply and sewerage pipe network and the establishment of the sector through cofinancing with JICA, Germany’s reconstruction credit institute (hereinafter referred to as the “KfW”), and the IBRD. The Inter-American Development Bank (hereinafter referred to as the “IDB”) is supporting the strengthening of capabilities of Peru’s Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, which is in charge of the water sector, and system improvements for the water supply and sewerage sector (including improvements to the management of water supply and sewerage business units in regional cities) in coordination with the KfW and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) through a policy program loan (Second-Generation Sanitation Sector Reform Program).

Other Donors’ Activities. The World Bank is implementing the National Resource Management Project for the conservation and effective use of natural resources aimed at the entire country of Kenya. As part of this project, it plans to perform some repairs to facilities in the Mwea Irrigation Project District. At the time of the examination, as a result of consultations between the NIB and the World Bank, it was agreed that JICA and the World Bank would work together, with JICA expanding agricultural land in the Mutithi East District and the World Bank doing this in the Ndrewa North and Marura Districts.
