OTHER SALARY ADJUSTMENTS. Effective June 21, 2021, all employees whose pay rate falls within the pay range will receive a 1.5% general wage increase. All pay ranges shall increase by the same amount. An employee returning from an unpaid leave of absence shall be compensated at the same rate of pay received when the leave commenced, plus any non- discretionary increase which became effective during the time of the leave.
OTHER SALARY ADJUSTMENTS. 6.5.1 If a Staff Member‘s duties or the location in which they are to be performed are changed significantly, the Staff Member‘s salary may be renegotiated within the salary range established for the Staff Member‘s rank/position providing both the Staff Member and the appropriate Executive Officer agree to do so.
6.5.2 At the end of the first year of a regular appointment, the salary of a Staff Member may be adjusted within the appropriate salary range on the recommendation of the supervisor and the appropriate Executive Officer.
6.5.3 Notwithstanding any other Section or Clause of this Agreement, a Professional Staff Member who has a salary greater than the maximum of the range to which the Staff Member‘s position has been assigned shall:
a. receive as part of base salary 100 per cent of the cost-of-living adjustments agreed to by the Council and the Association in 1985 and successive years, b. not be eligible for any further merit increments,
6.5.4 A Staff Member (other than those referenced by Section 6.5.3 above) whose position is reclassified to a lower salary range, shall:
a. not be eligible for merit increments in that or successive years.
b. on the 1st of July immediately following the evaluation decision, have the Staff Member‘s base salary reduced by one increment step on the new salary grid which comes into effect on that same 1st of July.
c. shall have this annual reduction of one increment step continued each successive July 1st until the Staff Member‘s base salary equals the maximum of the range to which the Staff Member‘s position has been reclassified.
d. shall thereafter receive a base salary equal to the maximum of that range.
6.5.5 Notwithstanding Section 6.5.4 (a-d), a Professional Staff Member, who on the date of the reclassification of the Staff Member‘s position downward, is receiving a salary equivalent to the Long Service Increment (LSI) Ceiling of the salary range to which the Staff Member‘s position is assigned, shall be eligible for subsequent LSI increments after the July 1st following the reclassification.
6.5.6 Notwithstanding any other Section or Clause of this Agreement, a Professional Staff Member (other than those referenced by 6.5.3 or 6.5.4 above) or Academic Coordinator who has reached the LSI Ceiling of his or her salary range shall be eligible to receive long service increments (LSIs) as provided for below.

OTHER SALARY ADJUSTMENTS. 1. Effective July 1, 2018 and July 1, 2019: Employees not currently at the top of their salary range will receive a special salary adjustment in the amount of 2.5%.
OTHER SALARY ADJUSTMENTS. JULY 1, 1999 - JUNE 30, 2001
A. Employees will receive a two and one half percent (2½%) general wage adjustment effective June 21, 1999. All pay ranges shall move upward by the same amount. Any adjustment which would place the employee’s pay rate over the maximum of the range will be paid as a lump sum.
B. Employees will receive a three percent (3%) general wage adjustment effective June 19, 2000. All pay ranges shall move upward by the same amount. Any adjustment which would place the employee’s pay rate over the maximum of the range will be paid as a lump sum.
C. An employee returning from an unpaid leave of absence shall be compensated at the same rate of pay received when the leave commenced, plus any non-discretionary increase which became effective during the time of the leave.
D. Employees who are at the top step of their pay range on June 21, 1999 shall receive a one time lump sum payment equal to two percent (2%) of their annual salary on October 20, 1999.

B. Fiscal Year 2024 (June 19, 2023 through June 30, 2024):
1. Effective July 1, 2023, all employees whose pay rate falls within the pay range will receive a 4% general wage increase or a general increase based on the University’s salary plan, whichever is greater. All pay ranges shall increase by the same amount.
2. After application of the general wage adjustment, any pay scale with a starting wage below $20 per hour, will be adjusted to a $20 per hour minimum starting wage with compression adjustments resulting from the $20 minimum made to the other steps in the pay range.
3. Movement to the $20 minimum adjusted pay scales will give each employee an increase of at least 4% or the University’s salary plan, whichever is greater.
C. Fiscal Year 2025 (June 17, 2024 through June 30, 2025):
1. Effective July 1, 2024, all employees whose pay rate falls within the pay range will receive a 4% general wage increase or a general increase based on the University’s salary plan, whichever is greater. All pay ranges shall increase by the same amount.
D. An employee returning from an unpaid leave of absence shall be compensated at the same rate of pay received when the leave commenced, plus any non-discretionary increase which became effective during the time of the leave.
