Outreach Education Sample Clauses

Outreach Education. Currently, a number of Young People do not attend designated education for one of three main reasons: refusal to attend; a Young Person is prevented from attending by the Custodial Operator due to their risk assessment or because of specific needs/appointments (e.g. healthcare needs); or a Young Person has been sent out of education. As a result, Young People can often remain either in their residential accommodation or in care and separation units, if they are deemed as posing a risk either to themselves or to others, and, as a result, receive little or no education. Historic data on the number of such Young People, the hours of education missed or the specific reasons for missing education is limited. The Authority however estimates that ten (10) percent of learners (i.e. ten (10) percent of the population assigned to education) are not in designated education at any given time. As part of the newly commissioned service, the Authority will expect that the Contractor provides a fifteen (15) hour weekly timetable of education services to each Young Person in designated outreach (this is exclusive of PE provided by the Custodial Operator). In addition, the Authority requires that efforts should be made to reintegrate these Young People such that they are able to attend designated education areas alongside their peers and be taught in the same class sizes as the rest of the custodial population as soon as possible. The Authority refers to the service being delivered to those Young People as Outreach Education. The Authority recognises that this group varies in number and profile and this makes the delivery of a service to them challenging. It is the Authority's requirement that the Contractor put in place a clearly identified level of resource to serve a fixed number of Young People through an Outreach Education model. That level of resource will be fixed and monitored by the Authority to ensure that it is deployed to support the delivery of Outreach Education services as per the Contractor's bid submission. The level of resource deployed will result in an average ratio of Contractor's Staff to Young People of no fewer than a ratio of 1:3. The exact size of the staffing resource necessary to support this group will be for the Contractor to develop. In the event that the number of Young People requiring education in this way increases beyond the fixed number the Authority expects, the Contractor will use the available Outreach Education staffing to provide th...

Outreach Education. An inter-agency agreement was signed in September 2012 for SPM branding work by ACHI/UAMS Creative Services to implement Phase 1 of our Outreach and Education campaign. A scientific survey to measure Marketplace opinions among an estimated 500 effected Arkansans and five focus group sessions at various locations around the state were used in development of the branding approach and later to develop messages to inform Arkansas consumers about the SPM in a way that can be easily understood. Presentations by ACHI/UAMS included creative concepts for commercials and print. A key result of this work was the selection of the name and tagline for the Arkansas Outreach and Education campaign; “
Outreach Education. Overview The Agreement requires the State to: 1. conduct outreach to, and training for, physicians who treat Medicaid-eligible children on the use of the chosen standardized mental health screening tools; 2. develop outreach tools for medical professionals who treat Medicaid-eligible children; 3. develop an outreach and education plan for interested/affected groups in the State of WV on the importance of the stated reforms prescribed in the Agreement; 4. provide timely, accurate information to families and children regarding the in-home and community-based services that are available in their communities; and 5. collaborate with relevant WV agencies and stakeholders around care for the target population. Throughout the course of the Agreement, DoHS has made significant strides in Outreach and Education. DoHS created guiding documents for their overall Outreach and Education strategy through both their Standard Operating Procedures: Outreach to External Audiences Regarding the Pathway to Children’s Mental Health Services and their 2020-2024 Outreach and Education Plan. One of the major achievements includes the creation of (and continued updating of), the Kids Thrive Collaborative Website, which provides information for families and community members regarding DoHS services for children’s mental health. Resource Rundowns, recorded webinars to inform community members regarding DoHS services, are posted on the Kids Thrive Collaborate website. Community members can find opportunities for involvement with DoHS on the Kids Thrive Collaborative website, as through the statewide Family Advisory Board. Another significant achievement includes DoHS’s facilitation of quarterly Kids Thrive Collaborate virtual meetings to provide updates and continued information to interested community members around DoHS services.

Outreach Education. In addition to the Outreach and Education strategies featured in the ELPP model and to support the City’s intent to lead the community by example, this partnership will pursue the following additional activities. Also see the ELPP Master PIP for additional information. • Employee Energy Efficiency Campaign: The City of Long Beach previously launched an Employee Energy Efficiency Campaign to City employees in order to optimize energy usage in City buildings, as well as to create messages and incentives that will bring about a culture of change and conservation citywide. The partnership will support information and outreach materials that address employee use of lighting, heating/air conditioning, computers, equipment, and paper products in the office and at home. Educational materials such as brochures, posters and new-employee training video will be distributed to City employees. Employees will be encouraged to disseminate program information to family, relatives and friends to promote participation in the program. It is expected that City leadership, department heads and City employees will proactively contribute to the implementation of energy efficiency, demonstrating the City’s commitment and desire to lead by example as described in the Strategic Plan. • Energy Efficiency Website: The partnership will create a custom energy efficiency website that showcases the SCE programs and offerings to the community and provides links to SCE’s website and other websites (Flex Your Power, CEC, LEED, ENERGYSTAR, etc.).
