Overtime/Extra hours Sample Clauses
The Overtime/Extra Hours clause defines the terms under which employees are compensated for working beyond their standard scheduled hours. Typically, this clause outlines the rate of pay for overtime work, such as time-and-a-half or double time, and may specify the conditions that qualify as overtime, like exceeding 40 hours in a workweek or working on holidays. Its core function is to ensure fair compensation for additional work and to provide clear guidelines for both employers and employees regarding expectations and entitlements related to extra hours worked.
Overtime/Extra hours. On September 1 of each school year the Director of support services shall establish a rotation list of custodial staff contracted to work according to seniority. This rotation list shall be used to equitably distribute overtime/extra hours.
