Overtime Rotation List. An overtime rotation list will be maintained. Each calendar year 28 employees will be placed on the list based upon the amount of overtime they have worked, 29 beginning with the employee who has worked the least amount of overtime. When there 30 is a need for overtime, employees will be requested to work overtime beginning with the 31 qualified employee who has worked the least overtime. An employee who refuses the 32 overtime will be charged as if she/he had worked it, unless the employee is on leave or 33 vacation at the time in which cases the refusal will not be charged. Probationary employees 34 will remain at the bottom of the list during the probationary period. Upon completion of 35 the probationary period, the employee will be considered as having worked the most 36 overtime hours plus one (1). 38 (c) Errors in Rotation of Overtime. When an error in the offering of time is discovered, the 39 remedy will be to offer the next available overtime to the employee who should have 40 worked, provided he/she is qualified. Call-ins for ambulance or fire calls will not require 41 resort to the rotation list nor will they count as overtime worked for the purpose of the 42 rotation list. The next overtime assignment is offered to the next person on the list following the individual who accepted the previous assignment. This process continues on a rotating basis for each following available assignment. One seniority rotational list is prepared for CSO’s and one for DPO’s. Each list begins with the most senior employee and ends with the least senior employee. Each employee will be contacted through their preferred method, identified by the Campus Security Overtime Coordinator at the beginning of each school year, and they will be given one (1) hour to respond and accept the assignment. CSO’s may designate another staff member in their building that is willing to be contacted regarding overtime assignments and inform the CSO of said assignment.

Overtime Rotation List. The following guidelines will be adhered to with respect to accounting for overtime that is worked: There shall be a seniority roster for each rank on each shift, and the roster shall be kept up-to-date. 1. Employees who elect to accept the offered overtime do not fall within the Department payroll category “Recall Compensation” and the contractual provisions concerning such are not applicable. Employees on furlough will be eligible for overtime opportunities on a voluntary basis. The fact that they are on furlough shall be entered on the overtime roster. 6. Employees being carried sick or disabled on the preceding day need not be contacted, unless such Employee has notified his work location that he is ready for duty and will report for his next scheduled tour of duty. Sick or Disabled will be entered on the overtime roster. 7. The Association xxxxxxx and the shift lieutenant will verify the overtime roster after each selection.
