Part-Time Dispatcher. This will be posted as a part-time position (less than 8 hours per day) and will not be eligible for fringe benefits. The person hired for this position may elect to do bus driver runs if he/she is qualified to drive a school bus and based on his/her driver seniority as long as these runs do not qualify him/her for overtime. Overtime may be allowed at the discretion of the supervisor and according to established procedures. In no case will the combination of dispatching and driving qualify the part-time dispatcher for fringe benefits. The part-time dispatcher shall begin to accrue dispatcher seniority effective the first day worked as a dispatcher. The part- time dispatcher shall accrue 2 years of driver seniority for any school year in which he/she drives at least one run on at least ninety-two (92) school days.

Part-Time Dispatcher. Every part- time civilian dispatcher shall be compensated at the rate of one and one half (1 ½) times the Employee's regular rate of pay for work performed in excess of eight (8) hours in any work day and any work performed in excess of forty (40) hours in any work week. In the event that overtime is available, all civilian dispatchers covered by this Agreement shall receive the right of first refusal for all overtime shifts. The said right of first refusal shall be administered based on the established work notification procedure as per Article XXVI. The Town reserves as a management right the ability tohold over” and “order in” dispatchers as per established department policy. In recognizing that the Communications Center is a 24hr per day, year round operation and that all employees are expected to work a certain fair amount of overtime, the Town agrees to establish a committee made up of the Communications Director and any/all dispatchers who choose to participate on a voluntary unpaid basis in an annual meeting to establish and change any departmental policies regarding “overtime hold overs and order ins”, however in the event that terms cannot be mutually agreed upon the Town shall have final and sole discretion to determine the Communication Center’s policies regarding overtime hold overs and order ins. Any full time Employee who is called back or called in to perform unscheduled work for any reason shall be paid at the rate of one and one half (1 ½) times the Employees regular rate and will be compensated a minimum of two hours time on the call back. Any dispatcher who is "ordered in” or "held over" shall not work more than sixteen (16) consecutive hours.
Part-Time Dispatcher. 44.1: Part-time dispatcher is defined as an employee that may work a maximum of twenty-four (24) hours a week except when used to fill in for scheduled vacation times and for emergency situations such as extended sick leave, an employee quitting, etc., during which time they will be allowed to work a full forty (40) hours.

  • Part-time Scheduling Subject to Section B of this Article, the Employer and the Association endorse the principle that less than full time equivalent ("FTE") positions shall, within reason, be expected to work a biweekly work period that equates to an eighty (80) hour work period multiplied by the position's FTE. (e.g., 80 hours @ .75 = 60 hours). It is further understood by both parties that ASF Members assigned to less than a FTE position may be required, during the peak work periods, to exceed their normal biweekly work period.   • Paid Time to Working Time Full-time employees absent on approved leave, paid by the Hospital or by the Workers' Compensation Board, shall for the purposes of computing overtime pay during the work schedule in which the absence occurred, be considered as having worked their regularly scheduled hours during such leave of absence. No pyramiding shall result from the application of this provision. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Hospital under the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union.
