PEER ASSISTANCE AND PEER REVIEW (PAR. Effective on July 1, 2000, the mentor teacher program and all obligations, rights, activities, and practices related to that program automatically terminate. This article replaces the mentor teacher program (Article XXII) and implements the provisions of Chapter 4 of the statutes of 1999 with respect to the Peer Assistance and Review Program (PAR), as it may be amended, and any applicable regulations. The Association and the District are continuously striving to provide the highest possible quality of education. In order for students to succeed in learning, teachers must succeed in teaching. Therefore, the parties agree to cooperate in the design and implementation of programs to improve the quality of instruction through expanded and improved professional development and peer assistance. Teachers referred to or who volunteer for the program are viewed as valuable professionals who deserve to have the best resources available provided to them in the interest of improving performance to a successful standard.

Joint Committee (JC) The Joint Committee shall consist of five members, the majority of whom shall be certificated teachers who are chosen to serve by the Association. The District shall choose the administrators of the Joint Committee. The Joint Committee shall establish its own meeting schedule. To meet, all of the members of the Joint Committee must be present. Such meetings shall take place during the regular teacher workday. Teachers who are members of the Joint Committee shall be released from their regular duties to attend meetings, without loss of pay or benefits. If meetings are required beyond the workday, they shall be compensated at the unit member’s pro rata hourly rate of pay. The Joint Committee shall be responsible for the following: Providing annual training for the Joint Committee members. Establishing its own rules of procedure, including the method for the selection of a Chairperson. Selecting the Consulting Teachers. Selecting trainers and/or training providers. Providing training for Consulting Teachers prior to the Consulting Teachers’ participation in the program. Sending written notification of participation in the PAR Program to the Referred Participating Teacher, the Consulting Teacher and the site principal. Providing a Referred Participating Teacher a list of Consulting Teachers from which to choose. Adopting Rules and Procedures to effect the provisions of this Article. Distributing, at the beginning of each school year, a copy of the adopted Rules and Procedures to all bargaining unit members and administrators.

  • Peer Assistance and Review Program 1. MCEA and MCPS agree to jointly operate a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Program. The PAR Program is a mechanism for maintaining systemwide quality control and ensuring that all MCPS teachers responsible for teaching students are functioning at or above the high MCPS standards of performance. It provides intensive assistance for any teacher who has not yet achieved that standard or who falls below acceptable standards. Assistance and review are provided to both experienced MCPS teachers in need of significant improvement and teachers in their first year of teaching.

  • Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teachers (CT) will be assigned to all new teachers with no prior teaching experience and tenured teachers rated ineffective on the qualitative measures at the end of the previous school year and recommended by the PAR Panel. Evaluations for Probationary and Ineffective Teachers:

  • Peer Assistance 1. The District will offer peer assistance to any employee it determines to have a deficiency specified in ORS 342.865 (1) (a), (d), or (h) (if applicable) or who is placed on a program of assistance for performance reasons. The District may also offer peer assistance under any other circumstances it deems appropriate.

  • TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM A. As part of the University policy to encourage staff members to further their formal education, the Tuition Assistance Program for Employees was established. Under the Tuition Assistance plan, qualified Employees will be issued vouchers which will enable them to register without paying tuition. (Incidental fees, however, must be paid by the Employee.)

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide to the Union the statistical and program evaluation information provided to management concerning Employee Assistance Program(s).

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • Turnover Assistance Grantee will provide any assistance and actions reasonably necessary to enable System Agency or its designee to effectively close out the Grant Agreement and transfer the performance and obligations of the Grant Agreement to another Grantee or to System Agency if necessary. Grantee agrees that this obligation survives the termination, regardless of whether for cause or convenience, or the expiration of the Grant Agreement and remains in effect until completed to the satisfaction of System Agency.

  • Using Student feedback in Educator Evaluation ESE will provide model contract language, direction and guidance on using student feedback in Educator Evaluation by June 30, 2013. Upon receiving this model contract language, direction and guidance, the parties agree to bargain with respect to this matter.

  • Quality Assurance Program An employee shall be entitled to leave of absence without loss of earnings from her or his regularly scheduled working hours for the purpose of writing examinations required by the College of Nurses of Ontario arising out of the Quality Assurance Program.

AIN Selective Carrier Routing will provide <<customer_name>> with the capability of routing operator calls, 0+ and 0- and 0+ NPA (LNPA) 555-1212 directory assistance, 1+411 directory assistance and 611 repair center calls to pre-selected destinations.
