PREJOB CONFERENCE. 6.1 If a Pre-job Conference is deemed to be necessary, it will be held in the City of Vancouver. The final conclusion as to whether or not the Pre-job Conference is necessary will be left to the Joint Conference Board. 6.2 The Pre-job Conference shall clearly spell out initial travel to and from the job, living out allowance if applicable, fares paid, location of the camp relative to the job and the scheduled hours of work. The Employer shall notify the Union, in writing, in the event of a reduction in the scheduled hours of work. 6.3 If the Employer uses the hours of work as a method to entice employees to a site and subsequently reduces the scheduled hours of work, then the Union may refer the matter to the Joint Conference Board to have the 15/30 day section waived. (See provisions for out of town projects).

PREJOB CONFERENCE. Upon request of the Employer or the Union, a prejob conference shall be held. All requests for a prejob conference are to be directed to the Detroit Building and Construction Trades Council.
PREJOB CONFERENCE. (a) Upon request of the Employer or the Union, a prejob conference shall be held. Employer shall advise the Union of the approximate number of hours and/or shifts to be worked, tentative starting date, approximate length of job and machines to be used. (b) Where the Contractor refuses to participate in a prejob conference, the Union shall reserve the right to withhold the services of members of the bargaining unit until a prejob conference is held.

PREJOB CONFERENCE. 19.01 Each UNION maintains claims to jurisdiction pursuant to the Plan for the Settlement of Jurisdictional Disputes in the Construction Industry (commonly called the "Green Book" and referred to hereinafter as the "Plan"). In making work assignments, the CONTRACTOR shall assign WORK according to the Plan unless modified by this AGREEMENT. 19.02 Having regard for special requirements for construction of a project of this type, together with safety, efficiency, cost or continuity and good management, the PARTIES have agreed to an intended assignment plan by a Jurisdictional Umpire they have selected. The Jurisdictional Umpire shall be bound by the criteria set out in the Plan unless modified by this AGREEMENT. 19.03 The ASSOCIATION shall give notice to the COUNCIL OF UNIONS of each contract awarded, which is within the scope of this AGREEMENT. Wherever possible, a xxxx-up conference shall be conducted prior to the commencement of WORK. 19.04 The WORK shall be marked up in accordance with the following timetable: Day 1 – The ASSOCIATION shall give written notice of a xxxx-up meeting and issue initial assignments to the COUNCIL OF UNIONS. A copy of drawings and specifications shall be provided to the COUNCIL OF UNIONS at its St. John’s office. If a composite crew is included in the initial assignments, the Composite Crew Committee shall meet as per Article 18, prior to Day 4. When a composite crew is requested, the ASSOCIATION will endeavour to provide notice of the request prior to Day 1. Day 4 – The ASSOCIATION shall convene a xxxx-up meeting to outline the scope of work and record claims of UNIONS on initial assignments. All claims for WORK shall be finalized at the xxxx-up meeting or by prior written notice from the UNION, except in the case of composite crews. Day 6 – The ASSOCIATION shall distribute a record of all claims made at the xxxx-up meeting. Day 8 – Last day for claiming or defending UNIONS to file evidence in support of their claim or assignment. Day 11 – The ASSOCIATION shall notify all UNIONS of final assignment(s). Day 13 – Last day for claiming UNION(S) to request Jurisdictional Umpire or relinquish the right to call for a Jurisdictional Umpire for that particular assignment only. Day 17 – Last day for the Jurisdictional Umpire to hold a hearing. Day 20 – Last day for the Jurisdictional Umpire to render a decision.   • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Informal Conference An employee against whom the disciplinary action is being considered may be requested to attend an informal conference with the immediate supervisor, his/her designee and/or a Human Resources Administrator prior to official written notification or any recommended disciplinary action. At such conference, the employee shall be informed orally of the specific disciplinary action being considered as well as the reasons therefore and be given an opportunity to respond thereto. At such a conference, the employee may represent himself/herself and/or be represented by a union representative. Holding such an informal conference is discretionary with the District and the failure to do so shall not invalidate any disciplinary action taken pursuant to this regulation.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, @ 2:00 PM, located at W220 Pre-con Conference Room, 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx (Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx) Xxxxxxx, XX 00000. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Conference Promptly after the execution of this Contract, Contractor shall confer with the Program Manager, Design Professional, Owner, and Using Agency to identify personnel and relevant organizational charts of each team member, and to establish working relationships with each team member.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • Conference Telephone Meetings Directors or members of any committee of the Board may participate in a meeting of the Board or such committee by means of conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other, and such participation in a meeting shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.
