Promotional Seniority. If a bargaining unit member is placed in a classification or position, in or out of the bargaining unit, said employee shall serve a promotional probationary period not to exceed one (1) year and shall maintain his/her grievance rights under this Agreement and shall not suffer a loss of rights or benefits under this Agreement.

Promotional Seniority. If an employee is assigned to a supervisory position with the school district, that employee will retain their bargaining unit/classification seniority at the time of their promotion for 24 months, but shall not earn additional seniority time.
Promotional Seniority. When an employee is promoted to a position which is not within the bargaining unit, that employee shall have ninety (90) days during which he/she may decide to for go the promotion and return to his/her former position within the bargaining unit at his/her former rate of pay, and without loss of seniority, or other accumulated benefits.

Seniority rosters will be provided to the Chapter President or Assembly President and posted in the work areas of affected employees. Where available, the Employer may provide an electronic posting of the roster in lieu of a paper roster. Each employee’s individual employee seniority credits will be displayed on the employee’s earnings statement.

  • Classification Seniority Classification Seniority" is defined as the length of service in a specific job classification within the bargaining unit, beginning with the date an employee starts to serve a probationary appointment. Classification Seniority shall be interrupted only by separation because of resignation, discharge for just cause, failure to return upon expiration of a leave of absence, failure to respond to a recall from layoff, or retirement.

  • Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.
