PTO for Vacation Leave. Regular full-time employees only shall be eligible for paid time off for vacation leave according to their length of service as follows: Length of Service Amount of Vacation that can be Accrued Less than five (5) years 10 days or 75.00 hours/year Five (5) years to 14 years 15 days or 112.50 hours/year Fifteen (15) years and above 22 days or 165.00 hours/year When a holiday occurs during a vacation, the holiday is not considered a day of vacation time. If vacation or other time in excess of two consecutive days is to be charged to the vacation accumulation of an employee, it must be scheduled and approved by the supervisor at least two weeks in advance. Exceptions to these requirements may be made for emergency situations by the Office of Human Resources. Employees may not take vacation days during the final two (2) weeks of their employment at the University.

PTO for Vacation Leave. Vacation shall be scheduled on a fiscal year basis July 1 through June 30. Except as provided in Section 8.5, vacation may not be accumulated from year-to-year. Full-time regular employees as defined in Section 1.1 shall be entitled to the following vacations with pay after the anniversary date of their employment. Length of Service Earned Amount of Vacation After One (1) year 80 hours After five (5) years 120 hours After fifteen (15) years 160 hours Full-time employees with less than five (5) years of service earn vacation at the rate of 6.67 hours a month for every full month of service. Full-time employees with five (5) or more but less than fifteen (15) years of service earn vacation at the rate of ten (10) hours a month for every full month of service. Full-time employees with fifteen (15) or more years of service earn vacation at the rate of 13.33 hours a month for every full month of service. The needs of the University come first when scheduling vacations or other time off for an employee. In so far as possible, however, consideration will be given to any specific requests by an employee; competitive requests for the same time off shall be decided in favor of the employee with seniority. If vacation or other time in excess of two consecutive days is to be charged to the vacation accumulation of an employee, it must be scheduled and approved by the Director of Public Safety or designee at least two weeks in advance. Exceptions to these requirements may be made for emergency situations by the Director of Public Safety or designee. Requests for vacation must be submitted to the employee’s supervisor no less than two weeks in advance. If the University fails to approve the vacation requests in writing at least one week in advance then the request shall be deemed disapproved.

  • Use of Vacation Leave A. Vacation Accruals earned at the end of the month are available for use the 1st of the following month.

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • Scheduling of Vacation Leave In scheduling vacation leave with pay for an employee the Employer shall, subject to the operational requirements of the service, make every reasonable effort to comply with the employee's wishes.

  • VACATION AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Benefit Plan. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay.

  • Granting of Vacation Leave 18.02 (1) In granting vacation leave with pay to an employee, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:
