PUBLIC HOLIDAYS & HOLIDAY WORK. 28.1 An employee, other than a casual employee (as defined) shall be entitled to the following holidays without deduction of pay. Provided that if any other day is generally observed in a locality as a substitute for any of the said holidays, the day so substituted shall be observed: • New Year's Day • Australia DayLabour DayGood FridayEaster MondayAnzac Day (where it falls on a weekday) • Queen’s Birthday • Melbourne Cup DayChristmas DayBoxing Day Proclaimed or gazetted holidays

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS & HOLIDAY WORK a) An employee other than a casual employee (as defined), shall be entitled to holidays on the following days without deduction of ordinary pay. An employee’s entitlement to this provision is unencumbered. If an employee agrees to the employer’s request to work on any of the designated public holidays, payment for such work will be at double time and one half of the appropriate wage rate: • New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day; and • the following days, as prescribed in Tasmania and localities: Australia Day, Anzac Day, Queen’s Birthday and Eight Hours’ Day or Labour Day; and • Show Day in the locality as proclaimed or gazetted by the authority of the State government.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS & HOLIDAY WORK a) Full time employees and part time employees shall be entitled to the following public holidays in Southern Tasmania without loss of pay, in accordance with the Statutory Holidays Act 2000, if the public holiday falls on a day the employee would normally work: New Years Day, Australia Day, Regatta Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day (when it falls on a week day), Queens Birthday, Show Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and any other day or part-day declared or prescribed by or under a law to be observed generally as a public holiday.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Public Holiday 6.1 The Worker shall be entitled to public holidays in accordance with the labour laws in Malaysia.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays. The float holiday will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 12.01 The following holidays shall be recognized as legal holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday
