DESIGNATED PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter Monday, Good Friday, Independence Day, Labour Day, Emancipation Day, Whit Monday, etc.
10.1 Employees shall be paid at the normal rate for eight (8) hours in respect of the gazetted and proclaimed public holidays provided such holidays fall on a normal working day.
10.2 In order to qualify for payment, it is required that the employees shall have worked on the working day preceding and following the holiday.
10.3 An employee who has not turned out to work on the day following a designated public holiday, will be required to comply with the procedure outlined in Article 15.1, failing which he/she shall not be entitled to payment for that holiday.

DESIGNATED PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. 13.01 The following shall be considered public holidays:
(a) New Year’s Day;
(b) Good Friday;
(c) Canada Day;
(d) Labour Day;
(e) Remembrance Day;
(f) Christmas Day;

17.01 The Employer recognizes the following current paid public holidays:
17.02 Employees shall be entitled to public holiday pay at the rate of one and one half (1½) times their regular pay.
DESIGNATED PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. The shall be considered public holidays: New Year's Day; Canada Day; Labour Day; Any other day prescribed as a paid public holiday in the Employment Cap or any day decreed as a paid public holiday on a one-time basis by the Parliament of Canada. Public Pay: Commencing the last pay in June the Employer shall pay the employee three and a half percent (3.5%) of the employee's gross wages accrued to date for that year as public holiday pay, whether to on the public holiday or not. every first pay in January and every last pay in June ofeach year, the Employer pay three and a half percent (3.5%) of the gross wages accrued to date from the Public Holiday Pay payment. Where possible and practical with respect to the number of qualified site personnel, when an employee is required to work during the Christmas Eve to New Year's Day period, should provide least three consecutive days off with one of them being either Christmas Day or New
DESIGNATED PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. For the purposes of this agreement, public holidays shall refer to the following designated days: • New Year's Day • The day after New Year's Day • Auckland Anniversary Day • Waitangi Day • Good Friday • ANZAC Day • Easter Monday • Sovereign's Birthday • Matariki • Labour Day • Christmas Day • Boxing Day
(a) Provided that, in order to maintain essential services, the employer may require an employee to work on a public holiday, subject to the day of the week being a day that the employee may ordinarily be rostered to work
(b) An employee required to work on a public holiday shall be paid at time two (T2) the ordinary hourly rate for all hours worked. No other overtime or penal rates shall apply. An alternative holiday (in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003) shall be provided at a later date.
