The parties acknowledge that the evaluation process is not intended to be disciplinary in nature, but that the evaluations are a tool to communicate regarding a nurse’s performance and may be used to show such communication has occurred.

Purpose of Evaluations. The primary purpose of employee evaluation shall be the improvement of employment skills and to monitor performance with respect to the skills and duties contained in the job description. All evaluations shall be conducted in good faith to this end and in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement.

Licensed Staff Appraisal is based on the Licensed Staff Evaluation Plan, which currently incorporates concepts from the Xxxxxxxxx Framework for Teaching. The statutory evaluation ratings are: Excellent, Proficient, Needs Improvement, and Unsatisfactory. Every effort will be made to adhere to all timelines outlined herein. If a particular timeline has not been met or cannot be met, the affected licensed staff and/or administrator shall notify by email the Association President(s) and the Superintendent who will, by written agreement, establish a new timeline.

Purpose of Evaluations. The parties agree that the primary objective of Paraeducator evaluation is to improve the quality of instruction. The parties recognize the importance and value of a procedure for assisting and evaluating the progress and success of all Paraeducators.
