Relief Duty. Employees rostered for the relief of other employees absent on approved leave or employees rostered off duty in lieu of Sunday duty will be employed on straight day duty when not required for relief duty.

Relief Duty. (i) Where an Employee receives less than two days' notice to take up relief duty away from his/her home base, time spent travelling shall be paid for at the appropriate penalty rate. Where an Employee receives two or more days' notice, payment shall be at ordinary time rate of pay. Relief Duty. When applying for an advertised vacancy, an Employee may subsequently be offered relief duty in that position. Relief duty will be offered to the candidate with the highest merit score as determined in the recruitment process. Any relief duty must be offered within three (3) months of the date of finalisation of the appointment of position. After three (3) months has elapsed, the order of merit of candidates is no longer relevant and a registration of interest call will be made for further relief purposes.
