Retention Stipend. 20.6.1 For the 2021-22 school year, an initial retention/hiring payment of $400 will be made to staff employed on November 30, 2021; this amount will be paid on the December 15th paycheck. For the 2021-22 school year an additional retention/hiring incentive of $1000 will be paid to all employees at the end of the school year paid out on the last pay in June; this payment will be on a separate check. For the 2022-23 school year, an initial retention/hiring payment of $400 will be made to staff employed on November 30, 2022; this amount will be paid on the December 15th paycheck. For the 2022-23 school year, an additional retention/hiring incentive of $600 will be paid to all employees at the end of the school year paid out on the last pay in June; this amount will be paid on a separate check. For employees hired after October 31st of either year, the incentive payment will be prorated based on the number of paid days during the respective year.
Retention Stipend. On June 1, 2022 (the “Retention Date”) Superintendent will be eligible to receive a retention stipend in the gross amount of Five Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($5,000.00), less applicable withholdings (the “Retention Stipend”). In order to earn the Retention Stipend, Superintendent must remain actively employed in good standing, as determined by the Board in its sole discretion, as Superintendent of Schools for the District through the Retention Date. Additionally, if Superintendent has tendered his resignation effective June 30, 2022, or if the Board notified Superintendent prior to June 1, 2022 that it would not be extending this Agreement for the Extended Term, as defined below, Superintendent would not be eligible for the Retention Stipend. If earned, the Retention Stipend shall be paid, less applicable withholdings, to Superintendent on the District’s next regular pay date following the Retention Date.”
Retention Stipend a. Full time Teachers (Bargaining Unit) hired prior to Friday, September 29, 2023, that are employed on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, will receive a stipend of $1,000 to be paid on or after Friday, February 23, 2024.
b. Full time Teachers (Bargaining Unit) hired prior to Friday, March 8, 2024, that are employed on Thursday, May 30, 2024, will receive a stipend of $1,000 to be paid on or after Thursday, June 27, 2024.
c. This is for the 2023-2024 school year only.
Retention Stipend. In recognition of commitment to education through the year, the Kent School District and Kent Association of Paraeducators agree to the provision of a retention stipend for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years. Employees must have started working in a continuing position by February 1st of the previous school year and fulfilled their obligations through November of the current school year. The stipend level will reflect the total experience level of the Employee. Employees working less than 3.5 daily hours, based on their position as of November 30th of the current year, will receive a portion of the full stipend as per the chart below. The stipend will be paid as a lump sum on the December pay warrant.
Retention Stipend. If the Superintendent is still employed with the Nettle Creek School Corporation at the end of this contract (June 30, 2025), she will be granted a retention stipend in the amount of $3,000, payable as a lump sum on the first pay the following July.
Retention Stipend. All unit members with a 12-month contract will receive a $1500 stipend and unit members with a 10-month contract will receive a $1000 stipend. The stipend will be paid in two payments with the first being on the second pay date in May 2021 and the last being on the second pay date in June 2021. To be eligible to receive the stipend, the employee must be an active employee as of April 1, 2021, and must maintain active status through June 7, 2021. An active employee is defined as employees currently working regular hours and employees on Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Employees on any unpaid leave of absence are not included.
Retention Stipend. There will be a one-time stipend of $1,500.00 provided to any member who held the position of police officer or investigator as of July 1, 2016 with the Hemet Police Department, and who was not eligible for and did not receive a recruitment bonus, and who was not at salary step E as of July 1, 2016. This payment will be provided on the first paycheck immediately following the approval of this Agreement by the City Council. There will be a second one-time stipend of $1,500.00 provided to any member who held the position of police officer or investigator as of July 1, 2017 with the Hemet Police Department, and who was not eligible for and did not receive a recruitment bonus, and who was not at salary step F or G as of July 1, 2016. This payment will be provided on the first paycheck issued after July 1, 2017.
Retention Stipend. AFSCME staff shall be eligible for an additional payment of $600.00 for a retention stipend for the 2021-2022 school year. AFSCME staff must be employed on September 7, 2021 through March 15, 2022, and the payment will be made on the March 31, 2022 paycheck. AFSCME staff working less than a full-time position in their classification shall be paid an amount equal to their pro-rated staffing assignment, i.e. staff member working half-time would receive $300.00.
Retention Stipend. Employees completing their twenty-fifth (25th) year of service to the District may receive a one-time $2000 retention stipend by requesting the stipend in writing (email is acceptable) to the Executive Director of Human Resources from May 1-August 1 of their twenty-fifth (25th) year.
