SAFETY BOOTS/SHOES. Where required by the Ontario Health and Safety Act, Regulations 692, and 213/91, or at Management discretion, the Corporation will provide summer and/or winter boots/shoes to eligible full time employees as required. In the event that an employee decides to purchase safety boots or shoes other than the regular Town safety boots issued, the employee shall pay the difference in cost between the cost of the Corporation issued safety boot or shoe and the boot or shoe purchased. Employees entitled to the above provision are required to wear the safety boots or shoes at all times when their duties require them to do so.

SAFETY BOOTS/SHOES. Subject to proof of need the Employer will make a payment of up to $130.00 every two (2) years towards the purchase of CSA approved footwear in February to each employee who is required to wear such footwear on an irregular basis, upon submission of an appropriate receipt. Probationary employees may purchase footwear and will be reimbursed on successful completion of the probationary period.
SAFETY BOOTS/SHOES. Should the employee be required to wear safety shoes/boots, the City will reimburse the employee for actual expenditures for such footwear, but in no sum greater than three hundred dollars ($300.00) in each fiscal year. The employee must provide a receipt for the safety shoes/boots to get reimbursed. Employees may purchase as many safety shoes/boots as needed, up to the allowed annual amount. Employees may purchase their safety shoes/boots at any business they choose.

A newly hired employee will receive a voucher good for one (1) pair of safety shoes or boots and approved accessories at the beginning of the employee's probationary period and the second voucher when the employee obtains permanent status. Whenever a pair of an employee's supplemented safety shoes or boots are not serviceable and repairable because of wear or damage, the employee will receive a new voucher to use to replace the unserviceable pair.

SAFETY BOOTS/SHOES. 16.01 Regular, full time employees who are required by the Company to wear protective footwear to carry out the normal duties of their job will be reimbursed an amount up to two hundred and seventy−five ($275) every twenty−four (24) months to a maximum of two (2) claims upon providing proof of purchase of same. To increase to three hundred ($300) effective April 1, 2018. The negotiated amount will be applied to the position of engineering services technician on an annual basis.
