(b) All vacation periods will be governed by administrative regulation in order to provide for efficient operations. Prior supervisory approval is necessary before any vacation may be taken.
(c) No more than three (3) vacation days may be carried to the following fiscal year. Under extenuating circumstances and by written request of the bargaining unit member, the superintendent can allow the bargaining unit member to carry more than three (3) vacation days into the following fiscal year.
(d) Bargaining unit members who break service and return to the District are considered new employees. Previous time worked in the District will not count toward vacation.
(e) A bargaining unit member who was employed full-time, changes to part-time (990 hours or more), and then returns to a full-time position will be calculated as follows: Full credit toward vacation for full-time years worked. .50 credit for years worked at 990 hours or more.
(f) Bargaining unit members will complete a full year of service before receiving vacation time.
(g) Employees shall accrue vacation time during their probationary period: however, employees shall not be eligible for use of vacation time until they have completed their probationary period unless they receive prior employer consent. Additionally, employees terminated during their probationary period shall not be eligible for payment for accrued vacation time.
Salaried. Holidays which fall on days when a unit member is required to perform assigned responsibilities shall be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the unit member and the appropriate supervisor.
