School of Education. Courses are accepted by Drake at their DMACC semester hour value. If you plan to complete your associate degree, please work closely with your DMACC advisor or counselor to select courses which will also fulfill those requirements. Additional courses used to complete the DMACC A.A. degree will be evaluated by Xxxxx according to the Course Articulation Agreement. A maximum of 66 semester hours of transfer credit from two-year institutions will be accepted. The Associate Xxxx will determine how each transferred course meets specific degree requirements. Use the following as a guide for elementary or secondary education programs. Refer to page 11 for the early childhood program.
School of Education. The standard workload shall be as specified in Section 2 of this Article. Supervision of student teachers in the graduate physical and health education programs shall be equated on the basis of six (6) students plus a seminar or nine (9) students without a seminar for three (3) credits. Members of the full- time tenure-track faculty shall not supervise student teachers for more than three teaching credits in any given semester, except upon request of the Xxxx and approval by the Xxxxxxx. Two-Semester Residency or Internship: Faculty supervising students in two- semester internship or teacher programs through which students spend two continuous semesters in classrooms, full time, under the guidance of a University faculty member and P12 mentor will earn one (1) credit per student, per semester. Supervisors will spend a one day per week in the partner school, mentoring students, managing the clinical experience for the cohort, observing student teachers and potential mentor teachers, and nurturing the school partnership. A weekly, two-hour seminar will be facilitated with students to deepen learning of professional skills in teaching.

  • Department of Education The School shall administer all student testing as required by applicable federal and state laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Board of Education a) If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.

  • HOME EDUCATION 1. Educational services that may be required for home education students as defined in School Act, Part II, Div. 4, Sec. 12 & 13 and School Act Regulations, Sec. (3), shall be provided by bargaining unit members.

  • Public Education 7.1.01 Inform and educate the public about vaccines and vaccine- preventable diseases

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.
