Section Definition. Casual help shall be defined as a employed by the Company to fill the vacancy created by a city who is absent from work for any reason, and shall perform the normal duties of a city No casual will be allowed to commence work in the city ahead of any available city driver who has a regular starting time of or prior, unless such city driver has been given the opportunity to commence work at the same time as the casual. Section Definition. For the purpose of this Agreement, when the words “plant used it shall mean plantcommittee, members of which are appointed by the Union. The committee shall consist of not less than three (3) employees and not more than seven (7) employees with completed probationary period of employment with the Company who are members of the Union and they shall be selected, wherever possible, on a departmental basis. The Union will, within sixty (60) days from the date of this Agreement, notify the Company in writing of the members on the committee. The Union or Committee will inform the Company in writing when any member change takes place on the Committee. No member of the Committee will be recognized by the Company unless the above procedure is carried out.

The Company will remit dues on behalf of casual employees in accordance with the following however no other terms and conditions of this agreement shall apply to a casual employee. A monthly list of all casual employees used during the month shall be submitted to the Local Union by the tenth day of the following month. Such list shall include: The name and address of each casual and the monthly dues; The Social Insurance Number of the Casual; The hours worked by the Casual; Whether the casual worked as a replacement or supplemental. Laid off full time employees shall have the first opportunity for casual work and the regular hourly rate shall apply.
