Sick Pool. A teacher must contribute two (2) days to the pool to be eligible to apply for its use. If a teacher has exhausted all of his/her sick days and his/her personal days, he/she may request in writing to the Association to receive up to 20 days from the sick leave pool. These days must be in accordance with the district sick leave policy. The Association will then notify the district clerk, in writing, as to the number of sick leave pool days being granted the requesting teacher by the Association. All teachers who have not previously contributed would be given a chance to donate each September. When the pool is depleted to 50 days, to retain eligibility, a teacher must contribute one additional day to the pool. If a teacher utilizes the pool one year, a teacher must be assessed two days the following September.
Sick Pool. An employee must contribute 16 hours to the pool upon joining the Sick Pool to be eligible to apply for its use. If an employee has exhausted all of his/her sick days and his/her personal days, he/she may request in writing to the Association Executive Committee to receive up to 80 hours from the sick leave pool. These must be in accordance with the district sick leave policy. All employees who have not previously contributed would be given a chance to donate each January. When the pool is depleted to 200 hours, to retain eligibility, all participating employees must contribute an additional 8 hours to the pool. If an employee utilizes the pool one year, that employee will be assessed 16 hours the following January.
Sick Pool. 1. The Sick Pool will be used by, and available to, all secretaries for use after all their accumulated sick time has been exhausted.
Sick Pool. A sick pool is to be used by Maintenance and Custodians who have exhausted their leave. The pool will be replenished annually by taking five (5) unused sick days from all Maintenance and Custodial employees who have reached the maximum number of sick days at the start of each school year. The pool should be cumulative to one hundred and fifty (150) days. Should the pool fall below fifty (50) days then one (1) day will be taken from each employee to replenish the pool. The pool can be replenished at any time during the year. This pool shall be administered by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee. A maintenance employee or custodian will become eligible to request extra time after he/she has exhausted all accrued sick time. Upon presentation of evidence of disability or illness to the Union Officer and Superintendent or his/her designee an employee may be granted up to ten (10) days of additional leave. If more is needed, the employee may reapply.
