Sickness Leave. 4-11.13 Except as herein provided no employee shall receive pay for absence caused by sickness or injury in excess of his/ her accumulated credits.

Sickness Leave. (a) After an employee has been continually employed for a period of one (1) year and is absent due to sickness not exceeding nine (9) months, on his/her recovery his/her re-employment will be given every consideration, subject to his/her ability to resume his/her normal duties.
Sickness Leave. Te Employee is entitled to sickness leave according to the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. Appropriate medical certificate is needed to support the sick leave.

Employees who request and receive such a leave of absence due to non-occupational sickness or accident will have the benefits provided under the County’s hospitalization-surgical program, and the County’s dental program, for a period of six (6) months following the month in which the leave is granted but, after such period, the employee must make his own arrangements for the continuation of such program.
Sickness Leave. There is no waiting period for the first nine (9) days of sickness in any calendar year. No benefit is payable for the first day of any subsequent absence if all nine (9) sickness days have been used during the calendar year. For new regular full-time and regular part-time hires, the number of sick days will be pro-rated based on hours and dates of hire.

The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • FUNERAL LEAVE Section 30.1 In the event of the death of a parent, spouse, child, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent of the Employee or spouse, grandchild of the Employee, or “xxxxxx” or “step” situations within these relationships, the Employee shall be allowed a leave of absence with pay of two (2) consecutive (eight or ten hour) workdays.
