Social cooperation. 1. With regard to health and safety, the parties shall develop cooperation between them with the aim of improving the level of protection of the health and safety of workers. The cooperation shall include notably: — education and training on health and safety issues with specific attention to high risk sectors of activity, — development and promotion of preventive measures to combat work-related diseases and other work-related ailments, — prevention of major accident hazards and the management of toxic chemicals, — research to develop the knowledge base in relation to working environment and the health and safety of workers.

They shall give priority to the creation of employment and respect for fundamental social rights, notably by promoting the relevant conventions of the International Labour Organisation covering such topics as the freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining and non-discrimination, the abolition of forced and child labour and equal treatment between men and women.

Cooperation shall also seek to support the adaptation of the Serbian social security system to the new economic and social requirements, and shall involve the adjustment of the legislation in Serbia concerning working conditions and equal opportunities for women and men, for people with disabilities and for people belonging to minority and other vulnerable groups as well as the improvement of the level of protection of the health and safety of workers, taking as a reference the level of protection existing in the Community. Cooperation shall take due account of priority areas related to the Community acquis in this field.

Cooperation shall also seek to support the adaptation of the Albanian social security system to the new economic and social requirements, and shall involve the adjustment of the Albanian legislation concerning working conditions and equal opportunities for women, as well as the improvement of the level of protection of the health and safety of workers, taking as a reference the level of protection existing in the Community.

The Contracting Parties, recognizing the close link between economic and social development, will cooperate in various fields of social security and health, especially with the aim of: - improving the level of protection of the health and safety of workers, taking as a reference the level of protection existing in the Community, - upgrading job-finding, vocational training and careers-advice services in Hungary, providing back-up measures and promoting local development to assist industrial restructuring, - adapting the Hungarian social security system to the new economic and social situation. Cooperation shall comprise the following in particular: - the provision of technical assistance, - the exchange of experts, - cooperation between firms, - information and training operations.

Cooperation shall also seek to support the adaptation of the social security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the new economic and social requirements, with a view to ensuring equity of access and effective support to all vulnerable people and may involve the adjustment of the legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning working conditions and equal opportunities for women and men, for people with disabilities and for all vulnerable people including those belonging to minority groups as well as the improvement of the level of protection of the health and safety of workers, taking as a reference the level of protection existing in the Community. Cooperation shall take due account of priority areas related to the Community acquis in this field.
Social cooperation. Article 14 The High Contracting Parties shall seek to preserve and develop further the common Nordic labour market in accordance with the guidelines drawn up in previous Agreements. Employment servi- ces and vocational guidance shall be coordinated. There shall be a free exchange of trainees. Efforts should be made to achieve a uniform application of national regulations concerning health and safety at work and similar matters.
