SPECIAL TEAMS. State Police Lieutenants who are assigned and serve on the special teams of EOD, TSU, DIVERS, HOSTAGE NEGOTIATION TEAM, AND SEARCH AND RESCUE, shall receive a lump sum of four hundred dollars ($400) per full year of service on the team(s). An employee serving on more than one
(1) team shall be eligible for only one (1) such payment. Effective July 1, 2005, service on K-9, CROWD CONTROL, HONOR GUARD, ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION AND PEER SUPPORT teams shall also earn such compensation. As of September 1, 2001, each Lieutenant assigned to serve on the special team(s) shall receive a prorated share of the four hundred dollars ($400) special team(s) allowance based on the number of complete pay periods served on the team(s) since assignment to the team(s) or since s/he last received the special team allowance, whichever is less. As of September 1, 2002 and thereafter, the special team allowance payment will be made for employees assigned to the team(s) prorated accordingly for the amount of time served on the team(s) since the previous September 1st. Proration shall be calculated on the number of complete pay periods served. Prorated payment of the special team allowance shall also be made to assigned members who terminate employment with the Vermont State Police or who leave the team before the September 1st payment is made.
SPECIAL TEAMS. Non-Management employees who are assigned and serve on Department of Public Safety Special Teams for which compensation to members is provided by Article 55 of the State Police collective bargaining agreement shall receive the same compensation for such service as is provided in Article 55, subject to the same terms and conditions established in Article 55.

Sergeants who are assigned to serve as the commander of a special team listed above shall receive a lump sum of seven hundred dollars ($700) in lieu of the four hundred dollars ($400) described above.

Each Sergeants assigned to serve on the special team(s) shall receive a prorated share of the four hundred dollars ($400) special team allowance, or the seven hundred dollars ($700) allowance for team commanders, based on the number of complete pay periods served on the team(s) since assignment to the team(s) or since s/he last received the special team allowance, whichever is less. The special team allowance payment will be made for employees assigned to the team(s), as of September 1st, each year, prorated accordingly for the amount of time served on the team(s) since the previous September 1st. Proration shall be calculated on the number of complete pay periods served. Prorated payment of the special team allowance shall also be made to assigned members who terminate employment with the Vermont State Police or who leave the team before the September 1st payment is made.
SPECIAL TEAMS. 1. The FBI will not permit the practice of voting for membership on SWAT1 and HRT2 teams by the existing team members.
2. The selection of SWAT team members will Be made by the Field Office career board with final approval by the SAC.
3. Selection for membership on the HRT will be made by the FBIHQ XXXXX board after consideration of the recommendation of the official in charge of the HRT.
4. Within six months of the effective date of this agreement, the FBI will develop and use, to the greatest extent possible, objective criteria for selection to SWAT and HRT. The FBI will provide 1 SWAT is an acronym for Special Weapons and Tactics.
SPECIAL TEAMS. Members of the Bargaining Unit shall be allowed to participate in special teams such as the MABAS Division 25 Technical Rescue Team, MABAS Division 25 Hazardous Materials Response Team, MABAS Urban Search and Rescue Team, etc. so long as it does not create additional pay that the City of LaSalle is liable for or interfere with the operations of the LaSalle Fire Department including inability to backfill the position of the affected member. While participating in these teams, the employee shall be covered under xxxxxxx’x compensation and Illinois pension statutes so long as the Chief is notified. If the City of LaSalle receives compensation from the State of Illinois or the federal government, the employee shall be limited to that compensation.
SPECIAL TEAMS. 43.1 All members of this Bargaining Unit that participate in special teams, downriver mutual aid (DMA) or otherwise compensated at 1 ½ times during their hourly rate of pay for participation in these extra duties well not on duty and shall not be forced to participate if members choose not to do so. DMA members who are on duty shall be granted release Time for these activities without loss of payer benefits. Special teams shall be defined as any DMA assistance with regard to hazmat, investigations, diving and any special teams that is provided by the DMA pact or as created by the employer. Additionally, the shall apply to any extra duties performed to assist the City of Ecorse Fire Administration such as HEMS or EMS administration assistance, training officers or any other extra duties above and beyond regular firefighting and EMS duties.
SPECIAL TEAMS. A. The City recognizes the unique hazards related to the following specific disciplines:
1. Hazardous Material Team: Mitigation Decontamination
2. Technical Rescue Team: High Angle Rescue Structural Collapse Trench Rescue Confined Space Water Rescue Dive, Swift Water, Ice
B. In order to maintain the necessary proficiency in these skills, there will be a minimum of eight (8) hours training, every other month, for each established team.
C. Team members will be compensated at time and a half (1 ½) for monthly training when off duty.
D. The goal of the City will be to train all team members to the Technician level of each discipline, as defined by the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
E. A minimum of twenty-four (24) members will be assigned to the Haz Mat Team.
F. A minimum of thirty (30) members will be assigned to the Tech Rescue Team.
G. Any openings created by a Member’s resignation from the teams will be advertised at all stations with a specific closing date attached for requests.
H. As for selection, all OSFM or state-recognized training being equal, seniority will prevail. A forty-eight (48) month commitment will be required for each Special Team. A six (6) month written notice will be required to leave the team(s). A mutually agreeable hardship waiver may be granted due to unforeseen circumstances requiring the member to leave the team before their forty-eight (48) month time commitment is met.
I. Any exceptions to the above provisions shall be justified in writing by the Chief of the Department after meeting with the Union and based strictly on the operational needs of the Springfield Fire Department.
