STAFF SALARIES. The Company agrees that News Writers shall be paid not less than the following staff salaries: Months of Employment Salary Per Week Rates in effectas Effective Effective First Year $ 823.00 $ 839.00 $ 856.00 Third six months $1,392.00 $1,420.00 $1,448.00 Fourth six months $1,483.00 $1,513.00 $1,543.00 Two years or more $1,713.00 $1,747.00 $1,782.00 Any News Writer who as of February 1, 1999 was receiving a staff salary in excess of the then applicable minimum, but not more than Seventy-Five ($75) Dollars in excess of such minimum, shall receive the same dollar amount of overscale payment under this Agreement. If a Staff Employee is hired in at a base salary that corresponds to an escalator step above the in-hiring step, he/she shall continue to progress in the escalator as if he/she had the length of employment corresponding to such salary. Such crediting shall be for purposes of determining rate of pay only.
STAFF SALARIES. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in the Appendices which are attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
B. Part time teachers will be paid on a prorated basis based upon the currently applicable full teaching load for the grade level being taught.
C. When a teacher leaves the Regional District No. 17 School System before the end of the school year, he shall be paid on a per diem basis for those days he has worked computed on the basis of the normal teacher work year.
STAFF SALARIES. The Company agrees that News Editors shall be paid not less than the following staff salaries: Rate in effect as of 2/4/19 Effective 2/3/20 Effective 2/1/21 $1,967.00* $2,006.00* $2,046.00* *This rate applies to only Network TV Assignment Editors with three (3) or more years of Assignment Editor service with the Company. The appropriate Newswriter step rate applies to Network TV Assignment Editors with less than three (3) years of service. In addition, the “Newswriter rate”, not this rate, applies to Assignment Editors at WABC-TV. Any employee who, as of February 1, 1999 was receiving a staff salary in excess of the then applicable minimum, but not more than Seventy-Five Dollars ($75) in excess of such minimum, shall receive the same dollar amount of overscale payment under this Agreement.
STAFF SALARIES. A. The basic salary schedule shall be that set forth in Appendix A of this Agreement.
B. No teacher appointed to a position will move beyond Step 8, BS<30, without permanent/professional certification unless statute or certification procedures of the New York State Education Department extend the certification time period beyond five (5) years. All other advancements on the schedule will be based on recognized total experience.
C. Experienced teachers entering the District for the first time may be hired on a step commensurate with teaching or other related experience. Teachers who previously taught in the District, and who return, will be placed on the next step from which they left.
D. One year’s credit for purposes of salary advancement will be granted to a unit member who has been on payroll for at least half of the previous school year.
STAFF SALARIES. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in the Appendices which are attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
B. Employees will receive their paychecks according to the Columbia School System annual payroll calendar.
C. Unless requested in writing prior to May 1, payments for July and August will be included with the last payment in June, or in a separate payment not later than June 30. The alternative request shall authorize the periodic installments due for July and August be dated prior to June 30 and mailed to the employee on the appropriate Thursday during July and August unless such day falls on a holiday in which case the payment would be mailed on the last business day prior to the holiday. This provision shall apply to teachers employed prior to July 1, 2004.
D. Two payroll options are available to each teacher; Option 1 will be automatic unless Option 2 is requested in writing by the teacher at the time of employment or by August 15, whichever is later.
Option 1: The annual salary will be divided into twenty-six (26) periodic installments, payable every other week on Thursday.
Option 2: The annual salary will be divided into twenty-two (22) periodic installments payable every other week on Thursday. Teachers employed prior to July 1, 2004 shall be offered the option of electronic direct deposit of their paycheck to the bank(s)/vendor(s) of their choice. New hires after July 1, 2004 shall be required to have electronic direct deposit of their paycheck to the bank(s)/vendor(s) of their choice.
E. Teachers may request in writing that payroll deductions be made for the following purposes:
1. Credit Union deposits and payments which will coincide with the dates of regular pay periods.
2. Tax-sheltered annuity premiums which will coincide with the dates of regular pay periods.
3. Professional dues for CTA, CEA, and NEA which will coincide with the dates of regular pay periods.
4. Premium payments or portion thereof if ineligible for full benefits for insurance as described in Article 16.
STAFF SALARIES. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendices X-0, X-0 and A-3 which are attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
B. Teachers who are in dual certification through an individual plan as approved by the Superintendent in a shortage area as determined annually by the Connecticut State Department of Education and/or the Board shall be paid $1,000 annually for the life of the dual certification. This annual stipend applies only to a dual certification first earned and issued on or after September 1, 2008.
STAFF SALARIES. The Company agrees that Television Assignment Editors shall be paid not less than the following staff salaries: Rate in effectas of 2/8/16 Effective2/6/17 Effective2/5/18 $1,853.00* $1,890.00* $1,928.00* Any employee who, as of February 1, 1999 was receiving a staff salary in excess of the then applicable minimum, but not more than Seventy-Five ($75) Dollars in excess of such minimum, shall receive the same dollar amount of overscale payment under this Agreement.
STAFF SALARIES. Salaries for the year(s) 2008-2011 agreed upon by the Board and the Association are set forth in the attached schedules as listed. STAFF SALARIES. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in the Appendix A, which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
B. All teachers shall be paid in twenty-six (26) biweekly installments. Teachers shall be paid on the same biweekly schedule as all other employees of the school district. A copy of the schedule of biweekly pay periods for the duration of this Agreement is attached as Appendix E for informational purposes. Any increase in salary as a result of a general wage increase or change in step placement shall be effective with the pay period that includes the first day of the teacher work year and shall continue for twenty-five (25) biweekly pay periods thereafter. In the event that a teacher leaves employment during the school year, the annual salary for the year shall be prorated and any overpayment shall be deducted from the teacher’s final pay, and if said final pay is not sufficient to cover the overpayment, the teacher shall be required to make payment directly to the school district not later than ten (10) days following the date of separation. Interest on overdue repayments will accrue at the rate of one percent (1%) per month or any portion thereof.
C. In advance of each contract year, representatives of the administration and the League shall meet to review the pay periods and pay dates for the coming year. The parties shall make every effort to mutually agree on resolution of problems concerning pay dates.
D. All salaries and other payments (such as stipends) shall be paid by direct deposit. Direct deposit vouchers shall be sent to each employee via e-mail.
E. Within thirty (30) days of a teacher being hired into the District, the Board shall notify the League of the new hire, his/her effective date of hire and rate of pay.
STAFF SALARIES. A. The salaries of all teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A, which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
B. If a tenured teacher does not meet the expectations of the Colebrook Board of Education as found in the Professional Evaluation Plan and Professional Development Program, as may be amended from time to time, and after a minimum of one (1) year on the “Assistance Level”, the Board shall have the right to deny movement to the next step of the salary schedule for a teacher within the salary schedule or the general wage increase for a teacher on the maximum step.
1. Such withholding of wages shall be determined only after written notice to the affected teacher that the action is under consideration by the Superintendent, and the reasons therefore.
2. Upon return to Level III of the Evaluation Plan, the teacher shall be returned to the salary level to which he/she would be on had regular movement on the schedule not been interrupted.
C. Each teacher shall have his/her entire paycheck directly deposited in the financial institution of his/her choice.
D. Teachers shall receive their annual salary in 26 equal increments. The final paycheck of the school year, a “balloon check”, shall consist of five (5) such increments and shall be distributed to the teachers on the last teacher work day of the school year.
