Student Affairs. Program Students will be allowed to participate in a variety of clubs, organizations, and sports at both RC and [partner community college], excluding intercollegiate or club sports or Greek life at RC. Program Students will receive advising services from RC and [partner community college]. Based upon the desired major at RC, tailored schedules may be provided to Program Students during advising with their RC advisor. Program Students will enroll in [partner community college] classes. The collaboration between [partner community college] and RC will allow Program Students to make progress in their intended RC major during their time at [partner community college] while preparing to enroll in classes at RC. Program Students may be placed into developmental coursework to help improve their writing and math skills at [partner community college]; this coursework does not transfer to RC. Additionally, RC and [partner community college] will provide the following: • Academic support in the form of subject tutoring and academic coaching; • Skill development workshops; and • Accessibility information. Reverse transfer information will be shared annually between the parties with an automatic award of an associate degree from [partner community college] upon the student's successful completion of [partner community college] degree requirements. Upon meeting the below requirements, students will be eligible to directly enroll in (RC) courses without needing to reapply. • Complete an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree from [partner community college]. • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher. The student must be in good academic and social standing at [partner community college] in order to finish the Rapid Maroons program and be directly admitted to RC. When a student is ready to finish the Program and start at Roanoke College, they must file the "Admission with Advance Standing" form with the Roanoke College Admissions office. Upon verification that the student is in good standing at [partner community college], they will be enrolled as a RC student. It is strongly recommended that students complete their Associate's degrees at [partner community college] before transferring to RC. Student Affairs. The University of Xxxx Xxxxxxxxxx continually and actively seeks a rich blend of cultural diversity in its faculty and staff, students, curriculum, and activities. The Xxxxx Xxxxxx Multicultural Center, named after the prominent civil rights leader who taught at UMW, specifically focuses on the academic and social well-being of underrepresented students through programming, mentoring, and leadership opportunities. The Center offers a variety of cultural programming including the highly respected Cultural Awareness Series. The series culminates with the spring Multicultural Fair, which attracts huge crowds to campus. The student-run Honor System at UMW is a deeply cherished tradition founded upon the personal integrity of each individual member of the University community. It requires honorable conduct at all times and in all dealings with others, and is the basis for the sense of community that characterizes our campus.
