Summertime Hours. When offered by the administration, all second or third shift may at the employee’s discretion work the first shift hours when school is not in session during the summer months. Examples of exceptions include projects that require two shifts or events that may require an employee in a building or at an event.
Summertime Hours. The Puyallup School District may provide schedules requiring a work week of four (4) ten (10) hour days, and in such event overtime or approved compensatory time at one and one-half times the employee’s base hourly rate of pay shall be paid for hours compensated in excess of forty (40) hours per scheduled work week. When such workdays are adopted, overtime relative to eight (8) hour days shall be converted to a ten (10) hour application.
Summertime Hours. All second shift employees other than the high school shall work the first shift hours until the first Sunday in August . On the first Monday in August, all employees shall return to their regular shift.

Whenever possible, the Puyallup School District will provide employees with two (2) weeks’ advance notification of a shift change. Nothing in this section shall prevent the Puyallup School District from scheduling a shift change with less than two (2) weeks’ notice due to emergent conditions, as determined by the Puyallup School District. No pyramiding or double application of Sections and/or Articles will be allowed. Compensation shall not be paid more than once for the same hours under any provision or Section of this Article or Agreement unless expressly stated in each Section or Article.
Summertime Hours. Whenever requested by the Superintendent or Director of Facilities, each Head Building Custodian or Custodian in charge shall submit a schedule of required hours for the provision of services for summertime educational and recreational activities. Summer hours will be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. During school vacations and weather-related emergencies, the district retains the ability to assign custodians to afternoon and evening shifts to accommodate building needs.
