Television Inspection. A. Provide inspection of both the upstream and downstream manholes beginning at the top of each manhole and panning down to inspect the manhole’s interior walls. Center camera in manhole invert to the extent allowed by the invert geometry. Pan and record the entire circumference of the pipe penetration/manhole wall. B. Inspect pipelines with pan and tilt conventional television imagery to record the condition, relevant features and defects of the pipeline under inspection. Notify the TOWN 48 hours in advance of any TV inspection so that the TOWN may observe inspection operations, if desired. 1. With camera rolling, perform the distance counter preset. If a preset point on the CCTV cable is used to set the counter, CONTRACTOR shall back up the camera after setting the preset and record the entry to the pipe. 2. Position the camera head to reduce the risk of picture distortion. In circular pipes, the camera lens shall be positioned centrally, in prime position, within the pipe. Direct camera lens along the longitudinal axis of the pipe when in prime position. 5. Inspect pipes during low flow conditions. 6. Move the camera smoothly through the pipeline (in the downstream direction whenever possible) at a uniform rate not to exceed 30 feet per minute. Stop at every joint. When infiltration or other defects are evident, use pan and tilt when camera is not moving to document pipe condition. Stop elsewhere when necessary to ensure proper documentation of the pipe’s condition and to record lateral locations. 7. Prior to recording the location of defects, construction features and service connections, remove slack in the cable of the television inspection camera to ensure metering device is designating proper footage. Check accuracy of the measurement meters daily by use of a walking meter, roll-a-tape, or other suitable device. 8. Capture color still shots of video recordings for all major defects encountered. 9. Television Inspection. (a) Television inspection shall be between manholes or other appropriate locations as directed by the Contract Administrator. (b) The Contract Administrator shall be present at all times during the television inspection of the sewer and will indicate to the Contractor what data shall be logged and retained for his records. (c) The television inspection shall be performed by persons skilled and qualified in the use of CCTV inspection equipment. (d) The Contractor shall provide an air conditioned viewing room large enough to accommodate a minimum of three people for the purpose of viewing the monitor (minimum size 17 inch diagonal) while the inspection is in progress. (e) The image shall be clear and sharp enough to enable those viewing the monitor to easily see the interior condition of the sewer being inspected. The Contractor shall deliver to the Contract Administrator a complete typed television inspection report and one VHS format videotape recording of the inspected sewer.
Television Inspection. 3.1 The contractor shall use a color pan tilt, rotating head camera specifically designed and constructed for sewer inspection. Each sewer to be televised shall be suitably isolated to eliminate or control flow during video inspection to allow for the entire circumference of the pipe to be viewed. Lighting for the camera shall provide a clear picture of the entire periphery of the existing sewer. The camera shall pause at service connections and pipe ends to evaluate water tightness of the openings. The contractor shall video record the televised sewer inspection, locating each sewer service connection entering the sewer. The video recording tape shall be in VHS format. The contractor is required to submit electronic inspection reports to document the work that is performed and the condition of the sewer. To support the electronic submission of reports, the contractor shall have the following minimum computer equipment: • Pentium II computer 300mhz, RAM 64 MB (preferably 128 MB), adequate hard drive space (min. 160MB/year of data) • Iomega or equivalent 100MB ZIP drive or 32 MB Flashcard with SanDisk or Datafab Card Reader Custom application software for completing the electronic submittals shall be provided by MSD. If necessary, MSD shall also provide approximately 6-8 hours of training for each employee that shall be inputting the data for the contractor. 3.2 Pre-television Inspection Immediately Prior to Lining (in-house). After the sewer section to be lined is cleaned, the host pipe shall be internally inspected. The MSD Inspector will view this video with the contractor. The MSD Inspector has the authority while on-site to inform the contractor of non-compliance with the specifications and not allow the contractor to line the segment. The contractor shall be given the ability to remedy the situation while on-site to the satisfaction of the MSD Inspector rather than cancel the shot. 3.3 Post-television Inspection. After the new liner pipe is in place and service connections re- opened, the liner shall be internally inspected. The post-tape shall consist of the video made immediately prior to lining; the video after lining, and taps cut; electronic inspection reports; and tape logs. The contractor shall provide the MSD Project Manager a copy of the post-tape and associated paperwork within 24 hours after lining a pipe section.

Television inspections shall not be scheduled until construction of other utilities in the same area is completed and pipeline under consideration has been backfilled and compacted to sub-grade elevation. Television inspection will be performed after the pipelines have been cleaned and also for a second time at end of the 1-year maintenance period. Contractor will be required to repair any defects noted at this time at no additional cost to the Town.

  • Sites 11.1 To enable Digital Origin to fulfill its obligations under any Contract: 11.1.1 the Client shall permit or procure permission for Digital Origin and any other person(s) authorised by Digital Origin to have reasonable access to the Client’s Sites, Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and any other relevant telephone system and other equipment and shall provide such reasonable assistance as Digital Origin requests. 11.1.2 Digital Origin will normally carry out work by appointment and during Normal Working Hours but may request the Client to (and the Client shall) provide access at other times. In the event that the Client cancels, reschedules or misses any pre-arranged appointment, it shall be liable to Digital Origin for any costs and expenses which Digital Origin incurs as a result of such cancellation, rescheduling and/or missed appointment. 11.2 At the Client’s request, Digital Origin may agree (at its sole discretion) to work outside Normal Working Hours and the Client shall pay Digital Origin’s reasonable charges for complying with such a request. 11.3 The Client warrants, represents and undertakes that it has adequate health and safety provisions in place at its Sites. 11.4 The Client shall procure all consents, licences and permissions necessary from landlords or other third parties for the carrying out of preparation work, installation of Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and for the provision, use and operation of the Equipment and/or Leased Equipment and/or Services at the Sites (save to the extent Digital Origin has agreed in writing to do it). 11.5 In the event that the Client is not able to procure the necessary consent to provide the Services within ninety days of the Connection Date Digital Origin will be able to terminate the Contract forthwith by giving the Client written notice without any liability. If the Client has not managed to procure the necessary consents and Digital Origin has commenced work the Client shall, on request by Digital Origin, refund to Digital Origin the cost of all such work (including, without limitation, staff costs and equipment costs) of an amount no less than £500 as Early Termination Charges. 11.6 The Client shall provide Digital Origin with the site and building plans (to include full details of all internal cabling runs) of the Sites and provide Digital Origin with full details of all other services in the vicinity of the proposed works. 11.7 The Client is responsible for making the Site good after any work undertaken by Digital Origin at a Site, including without limitation replacing and re-siting items and for re-decorating. 11.8 If the Client is moving a Site, Digital Origin must be informed as soon as is reasonably practicable so that suitable arrangements can be made to transfer the Client’s Services and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment. Unless otherwise requested, Digital Origin, in addition to moving the Service and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment, will also endeavour (but cannot guarantee that it will be able, for example where the Client moves to a different exchange) to retain the Client’s relevant existing telephone number(s). If Digital Origin can transfer the Client’s existing number(s) to the new Site the existing Contract will continue under the same terms and conditions. If Digital Origin cannot transfer the Client’s existing number(s) to the new Site, installation of a new line will be required at the new Site, or if the Client requires any additional new lines, this will attract new line connection charges and a new Contract. 11.9 If the new installation or moving Site involves the visit of an engineer to facilitate the new installation the Client will be responsible for the costs incurred by Digital Origin for the appointment together with an administration fee in respect of any additional works required to be undertaken by Digital Origin to complete the transfer of the Services and Equipment and/or Leased Equipment. 11.10 If the Client moves Sites and leaves the Equipment and/or Leased Equipment for the new owner/tenant the Client is required to inform them that the Service will be discontinued if Digital Origin is not contacted by the new owner/tenant within 72 hours for the purpose of entering into a new contract with Digital Origin for such services and subject in any event to the agreement of such a contract. 11.11 If at the new Site the Client receives services from an alternative supplier the Client is responsible for any contractual agreement the Client has with them and any liabilities the Client may incur for terminating such agreement.

  • The Site The site of the Project Highway (the “Site”) shall comprise the site described in Schedule-A in respect of which the Right of Way shall be provided by the Authority to the Contractor. The Authority shall be responsible for: (a) acquiring and providing Right of Way on the Site in accordance with the alignment finalised by the Authority, free from all encroachments and encumbrances, and free access thereto for the execution of this Agreement; and (b) obtaining licences and permits for environment clearance for the Project Highway.

  • Final Inspection The Contractor shall complete the list of items identified on the Pre-Final Punchlist prior to requesting a Final Inspection. Unless otherwise specified, or otherwise agreed in writing by the parties as documented on the Certificate of Substantial Completion, the Contractor shall complete and/or correct all Work within thirty (30) days of the Substantial Completion date. Upon completion of the Pre-Final Punchlist work, the Contractor shall give written notice to the ODR and A/E that the Work will be ready for Final Inspection on a specific date. The Contractor shall accompany this notice with a copy of the updated Pre-Final Punchlist indicating resolution of all items. On the date specified or as soon thereafter as is practicable, the ODR, A/E and the Contractor will inspect the Work. The A/E will submit to the Contractor a Final Punchlist of open items that the inspection team requires corrected or completed before final acceptance of the Work. 12.1.2.1 The Contractor must correct or complete all items on the Final Punchlist before requesting Final Payment. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the parties, complete this work within seven (7) days of receiving the Final Punchlist. Upon completion of the Final Punchlist, the Contractor shall notify the A/E and ODR in writing stating the disposition of each Final Punchlist item. The A/E, Owner and Contractor shall promptly inspect the completed items. When the Final Punchlist is complete, and the Contract is fully satisfied according to the Contract Documents the ODR will issue a certificate establishing the date of Final Completion. Completion of all Work is a condition precedent to the Contractor's right to receive Final Payment.
