Tender Phase. 6.4.1. The Consultants shall advise the Director’s Representative in tender evaluation by responding to tenderers’ queries arising from traffic, civil and structural designs. 6.4.2. The General Conditions of Contract shall remain unaltered. Any necessary amendments required shall be by means of Special Conditions of Contract authorised in writing by the Director's Representative.
Tender Phase. The Consultants shall not proceed with Tender Phase unless and until they have received the written instruction of the DR. The services to be rendered under the Tender Phase of the Assignment shall include the following: 6.4.1 Assist the Employer in the invitation of tenders for the proposed works. Draft tender notifications, prepare and distribute tender documents, prepare and issue tender addenda, answer queries and carry out pre-tender briefings if required. 6.4.2 Prepare tender assessments and recommendations, including evaluation of alternative tenders, and submit tender reports to the DR in a standard format as required by the DR. 6.4.3 Prepare Articles of Agreement and other contract documents for signature, for retention by the DR and for issue to contractors, Resident Site Staff and other parties. Prepare publicity materials, attend signing ceremonies and any press briefings. 6.4.4 Carry out debriefing to unsuccessful bidders if required.

Tender Phase. (a) The Consultants shall assist in the tender gazette, distribution of tender document to bidders, responding to tender queries, issuance of tender addendums, tender assessments, preparing tender reports and submission to the Central Tender Board or other tender boards as appropriate. (b) The Consultant shall ensure that RSS are available in good time for each works contract. (c) The Consultants shall recommend to the Employer the date for commencing the Tender Phase of each Section of works in order to meet the key dates specified in Clause 7 of this Brief but shall not commence the Tender Phase of any works contract without a written instruction from the DR to proceed with the Tender Phase. (d) The Tender Phase of a works contract is deemed completed upon acceptance of the tender report for the works contract by the Central Tender Board or other tender boards as appropriate.

Tender Phase. 6.8.1 The Consultants shall not proceed with the Services under this Phase in respect of any individual works contracts until instructed in writing by the DR for the subject works contracts. No expenditure under this Phase shall be incurred without the prior agreement of the DR. Upon the instruction from the DR, the Consultants shall carry out the Services as detailed in this Phase. Where necessary, the Consultants shall prepare any briefing notes, updated estimates for the works contracts and provide all necessary assistance to enable the DR to obtain authority to proceed with them. 6.8.2 The Consultants shall invite tender for each Section of works at least 4 months prior to the date of commencement of each Section of works specified in Clause 7 of the Brief. 6.8.3 The Consultants shall recommend the List of Public Works Contractors eligible for tendering. 6.8.4 The Consultants shall note the requirements for the contractors and tenderers in respect of the requirements for the ISO9001 certificate when preparing the tender documents. 6.8.5 The Consultants shall certify the tender documents & drawings of “tender” status and the associated construction programme prior to submitting to the DR for approval. All drawings supplied under this Clause shall have been signed by the designer and also signed by the designer and checker and also signed as approved by the Project Director. In connection with Clause SCE7 of the Special Conditions of Employment, any major revisions to the approved documents shall be submitted to the DR for approval before dissemination. 6.8.6 The Consultants shall provide sufficient copies of the tender documents and associated documents for each works contract in hard copies and electronic dissemination package for collection by interested parties. 6.8.7 The Consultants shall assist the DR in calling tenders for the works contracts in accordance with ETWB TCW No. 33/2004, by undertaking inter alia the following: (a) Distributing tender documents; (b) Where necessary, holding pre-tender meeting; (c) Answering queries on tender documents; (d) Issuing tender addenda; and (e) Any other tasks relating to tendering. In respect of (d) above, any tender addenda shall be approved by the DR before dissemination. 6.8.8 The Consultants shall note the requirements on design and alternative design by tenderers and be responsible for assessing the feasibility of any alternative tenders submitted. Prepare final Drawings and Specifications indicating the scope, extent, and character of the Work to be performed and furnished by Contractor. 2. Visit the Site as needed to assist in preparing the final Drawings and Specifications. 3. Provide technical criteria, written descriptions, and design data for Owner’s use in filing applications for permits from or approvals of governmental authorities having jurisdiction to review or approve the final design; assist Owner in consultations with such authorities; and revise the Drawings and Specifications in response to directives from such authorities, as appropriate. 4. Advise Owner of any recommended adjustments to the opinion of probable Construction Cost. 5. After consultation with Owner, include in the Construction Contract Documents any specific protocols for the transmittal of Project-related correspondence, documents, text, data, drawings, information, and graphics, in electronic media or digital format, either directly, or through access to a secure Project website. Any such protocols shall be applicable to transmittals between and among Owner, Engineer, and Contractor during the Construction Phase and Post- Construction Phase, and unless agreed otherwise shall supersede any conflicting protocols previously established for transmittals between Owner and Engineer. 6. Assist Owner in assembling known reports and drawings of Site conditions, and in identifying the technical data contained in such reports and drawings upon which bidders or other prospective contractors may rely. 7. In addition to preparing the final Drawings and Specifications, assemble drafts of other Construction Contract Documents based on specific instructions and contract forms, text, or content received from Owner. 8. Prepare or assemble draft bidding-related documents (or requests for proposals or other construction procurement documents), based on the specific bidding or procurement-related instructions and forms, text, or content received from Owner. 9. Contract shall include contractor provided changeable message signs to communication construction information. 10. Furnish for review by Owner, its legal counsel, and other advisors, 6 copies of the final drawings and Specifications, assembled drafts of other construction Contract Documents, the draft bidding-related documents (or requests for proposals or other construction procurement documents), and any other final design Phase deliverables, by the established due date, with the Final Design Phase, and review them with Owner. Owner shall submit to Engineer any comments regarding the furnished items, and any instructions for revisions. B. Engineer’s services under the Final Design Phase will be considered complete on the date when Engineer has delivered to Owner the final Drawings and Specifications, other assembled Construction Contract Documents, bidding-related documents (or requests for proposals or other construction procurement documents), and any other Final Design Phase deliverables. C. In the event that the Work designed or specified by Engineer is to be performed or furnished under more than one prime contract, or if Engineer’s services are to be separately sequenced with the work of one or more prime Contractors (such as in the case of fast- tracking), Owner and Engineer shall, prior to commencement of the Final Design Phase, develop a schedule for performance of Engineer’s services during the Final Design, Bidding or Negotiating, Construction, and Post-Construction Phases in order to sequence and coordinate properly such services as are applicable to the work under such separate prime contracts.

  • Bidding Phase 2.8.1 The Professional, following the Owner's approval of the Construction Document Phase, shall assist the Owner in obtaining bids and in award and preparation of Construction Contracts. 2.8.2 The Professional shall attend the bid opening and furnish a suitably detailed tabulation sheet for recording the name of each Bidder, the Bidder's Certificate of Responsibility Number, Bid Security, Base Bid, Alternates, and remarks. The Professional shall furnish sufficient tabulation sheets for all in attendance. Immediately after receipt of bids, the Professional shall submit to the Owner a certified tabulation of all bids received, along with his recommendation as to Contract award. 2.8.3 The Professional, following the award of a Construction Contract, shall prepare and submit to the Owner, two (2) copies of updated Construction Documents (Plans/Specifications). Each copy shall be marked OFFICIAL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and shall include an executed bid Proposal Form, Agreement Form, Contract Bond, Power of Attorney, Certificate of Insurance, all bulletins, Addenda, and supplemental Drawings. One (1) copy shall be retained by the Owner, one (1) copy shall be for the Contractor. Any other contract document guidelines will be distributed to the Professional at the bid opening. 2.8.4 The Professional shall also furnish the area and volume of the building computed in accordance with criteria of the American Institute of Architects; and the square foot and cubic foot costs of only the building, the mechanical system, the electrical system, special built-in equipment, and the total Project cost. 2.8.5 The Professional shall, unless waived by the Owner, also submit one electronic format copy of the updated Contract Documents (plans and specifications) in coordination with said Contract Documents in 2.8.3 above. Said electronic submittal to be submitted within thirty (30) days after award by Owner in .pdf format. The actual cost of the electronic submittal shall be paid by the Owner, with cost approval by the Owner before printing is ordered in accordance with 3.4.

The ARCHITECT/ENGINEER shall submit to the State a revised Statement of Probable Construction Cost based thereon for and until approved by the State.

  • As-Built Drawings Within thirty (30) Days of the successful completion of the Acceptance Test, Seller shall provide for Company review a set of the proposed as‑built drawings for the Company-Owned Interconnection Facilities constructed by Seller (and/or its Contractors). Within thirty (30) Days of Company's receipt of the proposed as‑built drawings, Company shall provide Seller with either (i) its comments on the proposed as‑built drawings or (ii) notice of acceptance of the proposed as‑built drawings as final as‑built drawings. If Company provides comments on the proposed as‑built drawings, Seller shall incorporate such comments into a final set of as‑built drawings and provide such final as‑built drawings to Company within twenty (20) Days of Seller's receipt of Company's comments.
