LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING #3 – DRIVER WORK WEEK It is the intent to provide some flexibility for Drivers in order to meet the requirements of the Retail Organization and improve the work life balance of the Drivers. There is no intent to make this work schedule or any other compressed or flexible schedule available to other members of the Bargaining Unit. It is agreed that an employee who is posted as a “Driver” or an employee who is trained as a driver and while working in the “Driver” classification may be assigned to a work schedule consisting of either four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day with at least two (2) consecutive days off or five (5) consecutive days per week, eight (8) hours per day with two (2) consecutive days off. The work schedule will be determined by the company depending upon the needs of the business. Authorized hours worked in excess of the normal work week of 40 hours or the normal daily assigned work schedule of either eight (8) or ten (10) hours will be compensated at one and one-half times (1.5X) the regular hourly rate.
