EMPLOYEE MEALS.
39.01 ARAMARK Canada Ltd. will offer a meal plan membership for all its employees. It will be a Declining Balance Meal Plan that can be used (for personal use only) at any of the Employers facility on campus during normally scheduled shifts. Declining Balance is similar to using a debit card at the grocery store; it is a set amount of declining balance dollars associated with a meal plan (that can be increased as required). Declining Balance has a dollar for dollar retail value. Each full-time employee will be issued a declining balance card with a balance that will allot $7.50/day for meal allowance (based on a five (5) day work week over a thirty-two (32) week academic year = $1,200.00) Weekly usage will be calculated at a discounted rate of fifty percent (50%) and applied as a taxable benefit in the concurrent pay period. Employees who work less then four (4) hours (twenty-four (24) hours per week) are not entitled to this program.
EMPLOYEE MEALS. Employees who work five (5) or more hours on any day will be entitled to one meal per day in the designated eating area where food items may be selected from a limited menu at a charge of seventy-five cents per day by payroll deductions. Effective June, the daily meal charge will be increased to one dollar and twenty-five ($1.25) cents.

These Problem Solving Teams will meet regularly until all of the issues have been thoroughly discussed and good faith efforts have been made to resolve them. At the local level, the Union shall choose employees to participate in these meetings along with the Union Representative(s) and Management shall choose which Managers participate. At the request of the Union a corporate Labor Relations Representative shall participate in any of the local level discussions. Among the issues to be discussed are the potential for moving to an “accrual method” of vacation whereby vacation is added to an employees’ vacation bank as it is earned and a review of the Cash Handling Policies including the rule that employees with $50 or more variance are subject to immediate termination and protections for employees who are forced to do “blind drops”.
