Twenty-Four (24) Hour Shift Employees. A. The average work week for twenty-four (24) hour shift employees shall be forty-eight (48) hours, with twenty-four (24) hours on duty and forty-eight (48) hours off duty, with an additional shift off (Xxxxx Xxx) after every seventh (7th) shift. The FLSA work period for shift employees is twenty-one (21) days.

Vacations shall be scheduled from the beginning of the first Xxxxx Xxx cycle that starts after December 31st of any given year until the end of the Xxxxx xxx cycle that includes December 31st, one (1) year later. The department shall make known the exact starting and ending dates, for the vacation cycle, each year prior to vacation picks. The County shall determine the number of employees who can be off on vacation at any time throughout the year by using the following method based on the maximum possible number of vacation days earned annually. The total number of battalion personnel shall be multiplied by twelve (12). This number is then divided by the total number of shifts within the annual vacation cycle (excluding Xxxxx Days) and then rounded up to next whole number if ≥.5 (example: total battalion personnel times 12, divided by 121, rounded up to next whole number if ≥.5. For the ranks of Battalion Chief and EMS Captain, there shall be no less than two (2) slots, in each rank, for the first two (2) rounds of vacation election. In 3rd round vacation selections, there shall be no more than three (3) persons allowed off including vacation and Xxxxx days. Employees may not schedule vacation time off in excess of their anticipated available accruals including existing banks.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date.   • School Year Employees All hourly employees compensated under “Hourly Schedule A” and regularly employed for the hours in that position considered full time by the Employer for the school year.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Less-Than-Full-Time Employees (a) For less-than-full-time employees (including part-time, seasonal, and intermittent employees), who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in the month, the Employer shall contribute a prorated amount of the contribution for full-time employees. This prorated contribution shall be based on the ratio of paid regular hours to full-time hours to the nearest full percent, except that less-than-full-time employees who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in a month shall receive no less than one-half (½) of the contribution for full-time employees.

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Ten Month Employees Employees appointed on a regular 10-month basis (those employed for the standard academic year beginning September 1 to June 30) generally receive benefits on a pro rata basis except for holiday pay which will be granted for those holidays that fall during the academic year only.

  • Permanent Full-Time Employees Pay and benefits will be computed on a monthly pay status basis.
