Unspecified Leave. A teacher, upon application, shall be granted one day of unspecified leave during a school year. Each teacher shall be entitled to carry forward one such day of unspecified leave not previously used by the teacher, in which case, the teacher shall be entitled to a maximum of two days of unspecified leave in a given school year. If the teacher has used two such days in any school year, the teacher will not be entitled to carry forward any other such days not used prior to that year.
Unspecified Leave. Effective July 1, 2018, unspecified leave will no longer be granted. Teachers who have accumulated unspecified leave will be allowed to utilize unspecified leave provided reasonable notice is given to the building principal. The pay of a teacher using such leave shall be reduced by an amount equal to the current rate for daily substitute service. These days may not be used immediately preceding or following a school holiday or a vacation period more often than once in a 2-year time period. Unspecified leave days may not be used during parent conference days or the first 10 or last 10 days of the regular school calendar.
Unspecified Leave. 14.16.1 Each unit member may be entitled to an unpaid leave of up to one year at the Board’s discretion. The granting or denial of any request shall not be precedent with regard to any other request. The Board shall not be arbitrary or capricious in the exercise of its discretion and, upon written request, shall provide a written reason for denying a request.

In the event of either party and/or its agent wishing to meet with the negotiating committee and/or the agent of the other party, the meeting shall be held at a time and place fixed by mutual agreement provided that such meeting is held not later than calendar days after submission of the call to meeting. Where there is a difference of opinion as to the meaning of an article or clause in the Agreement, the two negotiating committees and/or their agents shall meet on the request of either party to determine the meaning of any article or clause in this Agreement.

  • Unrequested Leave of Absence The School Board may place on unrequested leave of absence as many teachers as may be necessary because of discontinuance of position, lack of pupils, financial limitations, or merger of classes caused by consolidation of districts.

  • Unpaid Leave Accrued compensatory time off may be used at the employee’s discretion, with management approval, after exhaustion of 100% sick leave (No. 3 above). However, FLSA compensatory time off shall not be counted against the employee’s four (4) month (nine [9] pay period [720 hours]) family or medical leave entitlement. Therefore, any use of FLSA compensatory time off under this Section shall extend the employee’s family or medical leave by the total amount of FLSA compensatory time off used.

  • Extended Leave Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota law. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for ASF Members on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statute Section 136F.43.

  • Prepaid Leave Permanent Employees will be entitled to take a leave of absence financed through a salary deferral arrangement in accordance with the provisions of the Prepaid Leave Plan set out in Article 44 of this Agreement.

  • Paid Leave Contributions will continue whilst a member of a fund is absent on paid annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, public holidays, jury service, bereavement leave, or other paid leave.
