Voluntary Check-off. Upon receipt of a written authorization from a member of the bargaining unit in the form attached hereto, the County shall, pursuant to such authorization, deduct from the wages due each pay period, the amount of FOP dues or the fee set forth in this Article. The Employer shall provide a voluntary check-off for voluntary political contributions from employees and shall make every reasonable effort to remit same to Lodge 35 on a biweekly basis. Any voluntary check-off form provided by Lodge 35 shall be in compliance with federal and state election law requirements. The County will remit the amounts deducted to FOP at its mailing address pursuant to procedures now in effect.
Voluntary Check-off. A.) For the period of this Agreement, upon receipt of a written, personally signed authorization on a form approved by Employer from any employee subject to this Agreement, the Employer will deduct from such employee's pay, the weekly membership dues, provided however, that the Employer shall not be obligated to deduct any delinquent dues which became delinquent prior to the effective date of the authorization. The Employer will transmit to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or before the 15th day after the last payday, the total deductions made by the Employer, together with a list of those employees for whom such deductions have been made.
B.) When earnings are insufficient to cover the authorized deductions, Union dues shall be deducted in the next payroll period in which sufficient pay is available.
SECTION 2. The Union will indemnify and keep indemnified the Employer against any and all liability and expense of every kind and nature, without any limitation whatsoever, that shall arise out of any action taken by the Employer in making deductions of Union dues and initiation fees and this indemnification shall include, but shall not be limited to, such matters as all costs of suits, proceedings, claims, demands, damages and expenses, attorney's fees and court expenses.
SECTION 3. The Employer shall provide the Union each month a list of employees in job classifications covered by this Agreement, under the following conditions:
a) Employees hired or rehired.
b) Employees entering or returning from Military Service.
c) Employees revoking authorization to deduct Union dues.
d) Employees leaving the Company.
SECTION 4. No Provision of this Agreement shall be construed as requiring any employee to execute a Union dues check-off authorization.
Voluntary Check-off. The Company voluntarily agrees to deduct Union dues once each month from the pay cheque of all members who have voluntarily signed check-off cards “and deduct application fee for an employee to become a member”. If a member is absent at the time of deduction, that month’s dues would automatically be deducted along with the next month’s dues, thereby keeping that member in continuous good standing. The Company will remit the money thus collected to the Treasurer of the Union prior to the fifteenth (15) day of the month in which the deduction is made.
Voluntary Check-off. The Union agrees that it shall indemnify the Company and save it harmless from any and all claims which may be made against it on account of amounts deducted from wages as provided in. this Article.
Voluntary Check-off. 7.1 The Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Union will notify the Company as to the authorized deductions for monthly dues and assessments, if any. The Company agrees to deduct such sums from the first pay of each month of all members who have voluntarily signed check-off cards. The Company will remit the money thus collected to the Treasurer of the Union the same month the deduction is made.
7.2 New employees taken on as factory staff will be required to sign an authorization card at the time of employment for their deduction of Union dues, at the expiration of ninety (90) days employment.
Voluntary Check-off. Section A. Upon receipt ofwritten notice from an employee to deduct from their salary the monthly dues, the City agrees to make such payroll deductions and remit same to the Union. The Union agrees that there shall be no liability on the part ofthe City for the collection ofany unpaid dues due from the Employee, who because ofabsence from work or termination of employment, has no wages payable to the employee at the regular time for deduction.
Section B. Equal Representation LELS agrees to fairly represent all members of the bargaining unit regardless ofLELS membership or non-membership or any other factor.
Voluntary Check-off. The Employer agrees to deduct from the pay of each Employee who authorizes such deduction, initiation fees and monthly dues in the case of Employees who are or become members of the Union, or an amount of money equivalent to regular core monthly member- ship dues in the case of Employees who are not members of the Union. The Employer also agrees to remit such deductions to the Local Union Lodge once a month, together with a list of the Employees showing the amount deducted from the pay of each. The Secretary- Treasurer of the Union shall inform the Employer in writing of these charges to be deducted and any changes which may be authorized from time to time. CHECK-OFF AUTHORIZATION: I hereby authorize the Employer to deduct from my pay the amount of the initiation fees and monthly dues as specified by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Local Union Lodge, or an amount of money equivalent to regular core monthly membership dues, depending on my designated membership status, to be remitted to the Local Union Lodge each month. I agree that this assignment of wages shall be irrevocable for a period of one (1) year from its date or until the expiration of the contract (whichever occurs first), and that it will be automatically renewed and irrevocable for an additional year from each of its anniversaries or each anni- versary date of the contract (whichever occurs first), unless I submit a written revocation by registered mail to the Employer within ten (10) days preceding the anniversary date of this authorization or the expiration date of the contract (whichever comes first).
Voluntary Check-off. Any member of the bargaining unit may sign and deliver to the College a written assignment authorizing deduction of professional dues in the Union in the amount established by the Union, or of the service fee as provided above. Such authorization shall continue in effect from year to year unless revoked in writing. Pursuant to such authorization, the College shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) or other designated portions of such dues or fee at regular intervals, as agreed upon by the parties hereto, so that the annual dues or fee are fully paid no later than June 1 of the following year. The Union shall indemnify and save the employer harmless from any and all such claims, demands, suits or any other action arising from this Article.
Voluntary Check-off. Authorization and Assignment of Union Dues , my employer, to deduct each week from my wages working dues in the amount of $ or whatever amounts that may hereafter be established in accordance with the Steamfitters L.U. 464 Constitution and By-Laws.
