OF UNION DUES. Every employee shall become and remain a member in good standing of the Union, as a condition of employment. Subject only to the provisions of Section of the Canada Labour Code, all employees will be required to sign an authorization for the deduction of Union dues and other amounts designated by the Union. The authorization form will be provided by the Union. The Employer will have all newly hired employees sign the form and a signed copy will be sent to the Union. The Employer shall deduct from of each employee in the bargaining unit, the amount of the Union dues or payments in lieu thereof, and other amounts designated by the Union, in accordance with the Union's constitution and (or) These deductions shall be made for each payroll period and shall be considered as owing in the period for which they are so deducted. All authorized deductions shall be remitted to the Union not later than (28) days after the date of deduction, along with a list of names and job titles of those employees from whose earnings such deductions have been made, together with the amounts deducted from each employee. Before the Employer is obliged to deduct Union dues, the Union must advise the Employer in writing of the amount to be deducted from each employee. The amount so advised shall continue to be the amount to be deducted until changed by further written notice to the Employer by the Union. In all cases, the Union shall provide the Employer with a reasonable notice period to implement any change in deductions. From the date of the signing of this Agreement and for its duration, no labour organization other than the Union shall be permitted to have membership dues or other monies deducted by the Employer from the earnings of the employees in the bargaining unit. The annual slips issued by the Employer to the employees will include the amount of Union dues deducted in the previous taxation year. OF UNION DUES. The Board agrees to deduct from the earnings of each employee in the Bargaining Unit, initiation fees, Uniondues and assessments legally levied and in the amount communicatedto the Board by the Union, from time to time.
OF UNION DUES. The Corporation hereby recognizes the Union as the sole Collective Bargaining Agent for all employees covered save and except those employees excluded as set out in the scope clauses of Appendices "A" and in respect to hours of work, wages and all other conditions pertaining to this Agreement. There shall be no discrimination by the Corporation or the Union against any employee because of membership or in any lawful Union or because of age, sex, race, colour, religion, creed, political affiliation or in relation to hiring relatives of employees. It is agreed by the parties hereto that all employees in the Union will be required to pay an amount equal to the current monthly dues, so long as the Union is the recognized Bargaining Agent. It is further agreed that the Corporation shall deduct Union dues from the wages of all employees who come within the scope of this Agreement, whether a non-member or member. Deductions shall be made from each pay period and shall be forwarded to the Secretary-Treasurer no later than the 15th day of the month following, accompanied by a list of all employees from whose wages the deductions have been made. The Union is responsible for keeping the Corporation informed as to the names and addresses of the proper officers during July of each year of the life of the Agreement, and further, within ten days of any change being made in the list during the intervening period. The Union shall give the Corporation one month's notice of any change in the amount of dues to be deducted.
OF UNION DUES. The agrees to deduct from the pay of employees who have completed the probationary period whatever sum authorized by the Union for regular union dues. Such amount shall be a percentage of employees’ pay deducted each pay period and be remitted not later than the 15th day of the month the deduction to the Canadian Union of Public Employees, National Secretary Treasurer. The Employer shall when remitting such dues name the employees from whose pay such deductions were made and also the names of those employees who have left the employment of the Employer since the last payment. It is agreed that a negotiating committee composed of not more than three (3) employees plus the President of the Local be paid at their regular hourly rate for time lost from work for the purpose of negotiating meetings with the Employer. Such payment shall be limited to the length of the meeting and shall not exceed the amount the employee would normally have earned for such regular day. It is further agreed that the Employer’s negotiating committee shall be composed of two (2) members of County Council, the Administrator of the Golden Plough Lodge, the Chief Administrative of the County, and a spokesman for the County. Leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority shall be granted upon request to the Employer, to employees who are allocated or appointed to represent the Union at Union conventions or seminars provided that no more than two (2) employees from any department, but not more than one (1)employee from any given shift, may be absent at any one time, and provided such request is made at least a week in advance of the absence. A new employee will have an opportunity to meet with a representative of the Union once during hours for a period of fifteen (15) during the employee’s orientation period without loss of regular earnings. The purpose of the meeting be to acquaint the employee with such representative of the Union and the Collective Agreement.
OF UNION DUES. The Company, upon receipt of written authorization from any of its employees, in the form agreed to between the Company and Union, will deduct, and continue to deduct until the termination of this Agreement, from such employees' pay earned for each week, as a condition of employment, the sum authorized by the employees for payment of Union dues. A cheque in favour of Local Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union, for the amount of dues so collected will be forwarded to the Treasurer of Local on or before the end of the month in which the deductions are made. VALIDITY OF AGREEMENT Any provision in this Agreement which is contrary to law or regulation in force from time to time shall have no force or effect, but this Agreement shall not be invalid by reason of any such provision. BEREAVEMENT LEAVE (see Bereavement Letter of Intent) In the event of the death of an employee's father (step), mother (step), spouse or child (step) and the employee furnishes reasonable proof of such death to the Human Resources Department, such employee will be granted a reasonable leave of absence, at current salary rate not to exceed one (1) normal work week. In the event of the death of an employee's mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister or grandchildren and the employee furnishes reasonable proof of such death to the Human Resources Department, such employee shall be granted a reasonable leave of absence, at current salary rate not to exceed three (3) normal working days. In the event of the death of an employee's Son-in-Law, Daughter-in-Law, Brother-in- Law or Sister-in-Law, and the employee furnishes reasonable proof of such death to the Human Resources Department, such employee shall be granted a reasonable leave of absence, at current salary rate not to exceed two (2) normal working days. In the event of the death of an employee's spouse's grandparents and the employee furnishes reasonable proof of such death to the Human Resources Department, such employee shall be granted a reasonable leave of absence, at current salary rate not to exceed one (1) normal working day. Should a paid holiday occur during a period of leave with pay granted under this clause, the employee shall not receive pay for such holiday under Clause of this Agreement. When calculating pay for Bereavement Leave, shift premium will be included if the employee would have been entitled to such shift premium had they been working,

OF UNION DUES. The Board agrees to honour a written assignment of all dues and assessments and will forward all monies so deducted to the Treasurer of the Union. The Union agrees to supply the Board with a letter stating that the assessment was duly authorized at a general meeting with the date of the meeting indicated. OF UNION DUES. All employees who are now members of the Union shall remain members of the Union and all new employees shall become members of the Union after they have completed their probationary period as a condition of employment. Employees will be required to permit the deduction from their pay, each pay period, of an amount equivalent to the regular dues of the Union commencing the case of new employees at the time of the regular monthly on the first day of employment. Such deductions shall be made and remitted by the Employer to the Treasurer of the Local not later than the fifth (5th) day of the month following the month when such deductions are made. The Employer agrees to deduct union dues from summer students who earn an hourly wage of ten (10) dollars or more. The Union agrees to save the Employer harmless from all deductions made from an employee’s pay as provided herein.
