When a vacancy occurs before the end of each school year, the Superintendent shall solicit declarations of interest on the part of unit members, by posting a notice of the job vacancy in each building (in the central office of each). After the end of school, notice shall be posted in the central office and sent to the Association President or his/her designee. Notification of openings shall be included in the paychecks received by the bargaining unit member. During the summer, notifications of vacancies shall be posted on the school TV channel and school website. All job postings shall include the following information:
Voluntary Transfers/Reassignments. 2.3.1 Intent to return forms shall be sent to all bargaining unit members by March 15th each year. These forms will include a request for preferences for assignments for the following year. These preferences shall be considered when making preliminary assignments for the following school year.

Voluntary Transfers/Reassignments a. A Bargaining Unit Member may submit a request for a transfer subsequent to the posting of a vacancy notice and within the (7) seven day timeline of the posting. A Bargaining Unit Member may also submit a request for transfer at any time whether or not a vacancy exists. The request shall be valid and considered for only one (1) year following date of receipt by the District Office.
