Women’s Health. A primary obligation of Central Health and the CCC is to assure that adequate services of all types are available to the women of Xxxxxx County. The UT Austin Dell Medical School will assist Central Health and the CCC in meeting this obligation by providing comprehensive education and training in women’s health services to its Residents and Medical Students and comprehensive women’s clinical services to this population as described in Section 4.3 above. Further, the UT Austin Dell Medical School plans to accept the transfer of sponsorship from UTSW and maintain an accredited graduate medical education residency program which includes all aspects of women’s health.

Women’s Health. Specialized primary care services are available for women. (a) Providing preventive screenings and services. Preventive exams and counseling services include breast cancer screening by clinical breast examination and referral for mammography or coordination with third parties as appropriate, pelvic exam and cervical cancer screening, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing and counseling, family planning, preconception counseling, pregnancy testing, and screening for domestic violence and appropriate resource/referral engagement. (b) Providing contraception planning services in collaboration with Participants to meet current and future contraception needs. Providers help identify a contraception method, provide counseling on contraceptive efficacy, safety, side effects, cost and convenience, provide contraception prescriptions and procedures, and monitor Participants for safety and side effects. (c) Providing education with materials on various women’s health topics, including, breast self-awareness through breast self-exams, clinical breast exams, and annual mammography for early breast cancer detection. Participants are also provided with resources on cervical cancer screening, STD testing, and domestic violence.
Women’s Health. Provider agrees to provide a full range of women’s health services to DDOC biologically female Inmates. Biologically female Inmates shall have access to OB/XXX trained health care practitioners who are qualified to meet their needs. Care provided shall include but not limited to: a. Prenatal care b. Postpartum care c. Contraceptive counseling and reproductive life plan counseling (see DDOC Policy B-06 “Contraception”) d. Access to the full range of currently available reversible contraception methods (including long acting reversible contraception) for Inmates who are within 3 months of DDOC release. e. DDOC and Provider shall not provide irreversible contraception (sterilization) to Inmates, with the exception that an outside healthcare facility may, at their discretion, provide care directed at another condition that may inadvertently lead to sterilization (e.g. cancer treatment or hysterectomy for advanced uterine fibroids). In all cases, however, treatments shall in no way be provided to Inmates while they are in DDOC custody that has as primary aim the sterilization of such Inmates. f. Screening for gynecologic malignancies in accordance with nationally accepted guidelines such as those set forth by the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). g. Screening for breast malignancies in accordance with nationally accepted guidelines including those set forth by ACOG, USPSTF and others. h. Maintain agreements with local agencies for the provision of learning sessions and care coordination services related but not limited to: ● Screening for intimate partner violence ● Care coordination and discharge planning services to connect Inmates to appropriate women’s health services upon release i. Counseling for pregnant women: This shall be non-coercive and shall aim to guide each pregnant Inmate in making decisions regarding her pregnancy that are in line with her values, beliefs and preferences. j. State and federal funds may not be used for induced abortions. However, Provider must maintain agreements with community providers that perform these services to ensure services are available to those who desire them. Costs for the services and for transportation will be borne by the Inmate or her family. k. Coordination of Medication Assisted Therapy (“MAT”) for pregnant inmates with opioid use disorder. (d) Providing education with materials on various women’s health topics, including, breast self-awareness through breast self-exams, clinical breast exams, and annual mammography for early breast cancer detection. Participants are also provided with resources on cervical cancer screening, STD testing, and domestic violence.
Women’s Health. In conjunction with Community Wellness Programs Manager and Community Health Nurse help sending out letters for the annual PAP Screening Clinics here at the Health Centre. We provided healthy snacks, water and fruit for students during an organized Walkathon to help raise funds for playground equipment at the local school. This was done in conjunction with the Sports and Mentorship Coordinator. The importance of promoting and providing our assistance at such an event is essential as it helps us to show our dedication to having our youth be physically active. A playground means our children will be moving and playing at school during recess and at lunch versus standing idle in the field.

  • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for 130 workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. For purposes of this Section, furlough days and days worked during off-basis time shall count as "workdays". Family Care and Medical Leave absences of twenty (20) consecutive working days or less can be granted by the immediate administrator or designee. Leaves of twenty (20) or more consecutive working days can be granted only by submission of a formal leave application to the Personnel Commission.

  • HEALTH PROGRAM 3701 Health examinations required by the Employer shall be provided by the Employer and shall be at the expense of the Employer. 3702 Time off without loss of regular pay shall be allowed at a time determined by the Employer for such medical examinations and laboratory tests, provided that these are performed on the Employer’s premises, or at a facility designated by the Employer. 3703 With the approval of the Employer, a nurse may choose to be examined by a physician of her/his own choice, at her/his own expense, as long as the Employer receives a statement as to the fitness of the nurse from the physician. 3704 Time off for medical and dental examinations and/or treatments may be granted and such time off, including necessary travel time, shall be chargeable against accumulated income protection benefits.

  • Group Health Insurance The Employer shall provide a comprehensive health care insurance program for all permanent full-time and part-time employees. Health Plan characteristics and benefits shall be as provided in the Employer’s Agreement with the Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (hereinafter OCSEA). Regardless of the plan, employees will pay fifteen percent (15%) of the premium and the Employer will pay eighty-five percent (85%) of the premium; however for any alternative plans offered pursuant to the Agreement with OCSEA, the employees’ premium share will be determined by the Director of DAS, but will not exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the premium. The Employer’s premium share shall be paid on behalf of eligible employees as provided in the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. Employees who include a spouse as a dependent for healthcare coverage shall pay a surcharge as provided in the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. Eligibility provisions for employees enrolling in State provided health care plans shall remain the same as those in effect in the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. The Employer reserves the right to perform dependent eligibility audits upon recommendation of the Joint Health Care Committee. Health care costs paid on behalf of ineligible dependents will be subject to recovery. Deductibles, co-payments, and other plan design provisions for all benefit programs shall be the same as those prescribed in the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. Every year the Employer shall conduct an open enrollment period, at which time employees shall be able to enroll in a health plan, continue enrollment in their current plan, switch to another plan, subject to plan availability in their area, or waive coverage. The timing of the open enrollment period shall be established by the Director of the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), in consultation with the Joint Health Care Committee. Changes outside of open enrollment may only occur as prescribed in the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. Open Enrollment Fairs shall be held in accordance with Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA. There shall be established a Joint Health Care Committee composed of representatives of management, and of the various labor Unions representing State employees. The Committee shall meet regularly to monitor the operation of the State’s health care plans, and to make recommendations for the improvement of the plans and cost containment procedures. The Employer shall provide funding for dental, vision and the life benefits as described in Article 21 of the Employer’s Agreement with OCSEA and the Union’s Benefits Trust. Employee health insurance payments will be deducted from every paycheck. In the event an employee is receiving disability leave or Workers’ Compensation benefits, the Employer- policyholder shall continue, at no cost to the employee, the coverage of group health insurance for such employee for the period of such leave, but not beyond twelve (12) months. If the employee’s leave extends beyond twelve

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:
