Attending Court. 32.01 Employees required by the Company to attend court or public investigation shall be paid their applicable rates for the time lost as a result of attending court or investigation and shall be reimbursed actual reasonable expenses when away from home. In such cases the witness fees shall go to the Company. 32.02 An employee required to perform jury duty, appear for jury selection, or appear as a subpoenaed witness will be paid at her straight time rate. She shall turn over to the Company all monies received from the court or serving party for such service, excluding payment for meals, lodging, transportation, and parking.

Attending Court. An employee who is required by writ or subpoena in court as a witness in a work related matter, will be paid his/her regular rate of pay up to crew value for time required to be in court provided the employee presents the Employer with a copy of the process papers which required his/her presence in court, and pays over to the Employer the amount received by serving as such witness.
Attending Court. 20.1 An employee who loses time by being required, in a case in which the Company is involved, to attend court or coroner's inquest, or to appear as a witness, shall be paid for time lost. If no time is lost, such employee shall be paid for actual time held, with a minimum of four (4) hours at one and one-half (1 1/2) times his/her hourly rate. 20.2 A full-time or part-time employee who has completed his/her probationary period and who is summoned for jury duty and who is required to lose time from his/her assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one (1) day's pay at the straight time hourly rate of his/her position for each day lost, less the amount allowed for jury duty for each such day. To be eligible for this compensation, the employee must furnish the Company with a statement from the court, of jury allowances paid and the days on which jury duty was performed.
Attending Court. C.S.S.A.'s or RTC’s attending court or investigation at the request of the proper officer of the Railway will have their actual reasonable expenses paid by the Railway in addition to their schedule wages. Any fees accruing to the employee will be assigned to the Railway.

On holidays specified in Rule 45 employees shall be paid a minimum of eight hours at the appropriate rate. Time and one-half will be paid for travelling during overtime hours, where employees are unable to secure sleeping car accommodation. Actual expenses will be allowed when away from home station and necessary expenses will be allowed when at home. When necessary the Company will furnish transportation, and will be entitled to certificate for witness fees in all cases.

If no time is lost, the employee will be allowed a minimum of three (3) hours pay at their hourly base rate of pay.
