Reemployment Lists. A. The following persons shall be placed on AGENCY/DEPARTMENTAL REINSTATEMENT LISTS as provided in 1., 2. and 3., below, in the order of their respective layoff points with the person having the largest number of layoff points listed first:

Reemployment Lists. 39.7.1 The names of all probationary and permanent employees released from positions in the competitive service as a result of layoff must be placed on reemployment priority lists for those classifications from which they were separated, as well as all other classifications to which they have retreat rights in accordance with Section 39.4 (Employee Retreat Rights). 39.7.2 A reemployment priority list shall remain in effect for three (3) years. 39.7.3 Departments with vacancies in any classification for which there is an active reemployment priority list must use the reemployment priority list to fill their positions and may not use any other recruitment or appointment method to fill a vacancy until appropriate reemployment lists have been exhausted. 39.7.4 When a vacancy occurs in a class for which there is a reemployment priority list, the name of the employee on the appropriate reemployment priority list with the highest seniority date shall be certified to the selecting official. Employees so certified from the reemployment priority list must be appointed to the existing vacancy. 39.7.5 If a former employee fails to accept a bona fide written offer of reemployment within fifteen (15) calendar days, his or her name will be removed permanently from the reemployment priority list from which the offer was made. Failure to accept an offer of reemployment to the classification with the highest salary range for which the employee is eligible for reemployment will result in automatic removal from all reemployment priority lists. However, the employee may decline (or accept) reemployment to lower salary range classifications without jeopardizing his or her standing on the reemployment priority list for the classification from which he or she was originally terminated. 39.7.6 Upon reappointment to the classification from which the employee was originally separated or demoted, the employee has the right to be placed at the step of the salary range which the employee held at the time of layoff or demotion.
Reemployment Lists. The names of probationary and permanent employees who have been laid off shall be placed on reemployment lists in order of seniority. Such names shall remain thereon for a period of three years unless such persons are sooner reemployed. When a reemployment list is to be used to fill vacancies, the Personnel Officer shall certify from the top of such list the number of names equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, and the appointing power shall appoint such persons to fill the vacancies, at previous step and rank, subject to physical examination only.
Reemployment Lists. 8.7.1 A Reemployment List is particular to a department and classification. Any vacancy occurring in the class from which employees have been laid off shall be offered first to qualified and available employees on the Reemployment List for that class in order of seniority. An eligible employee may have his/her name placed on a Reemployment List for a period of 18 months in the following ways: 8.7.1.1 A permanent employee who is laid off and/or reduced in class or displaced shall be automatically placed on the Reemployment List for his/her class at the time of layoff in order of seniority. 8.7.1.2 A permanent employee who has been laid off may request that his/her named be placed on the reemployment list for a lower class in his current series. 8.7.1.3 A permanent employee who has been laid off may request that his/her name be placed on the Reemployment List for a different classification he/she held prior to layoff. 8.7.1.4 A probationary employee who is terminated solely in preparation for layoff shall be placed on the Reemployment List for his/her classification in order of seniority behind any regular employee(s). 8.7.2 Status on the Reemployment List can be lost under the following circumstances: 8.7.2.1 If the person indicates unavailability or if attempts to reach the individual (including by certified mail) are unsuccessful. Restoration to the Reemployment List may occur if the person indicates availability in writing within the original eligibility period. 8.7.2.2 If the person declines three (3) job offers of equivalent status positions to a regular full-time or regular part-time position by the County, the person's name will be removed from the Reemployment List. 8.7.3 When a person is reemployed from a Reemployment List, the employee shall be entitled to accrue sick leave and vacation at the same accrual rate as attained at which it was accrued prior to layoff. His/her status in relation to probationary period, merit salary increases, and seniority shall be the same as at the time of layoff. Any unused and unpaid sick leave shall be reinstated. 8.7.4 An individual on a Reemployment List may accept an extra-help appointment or position and not lose his/her Reemployment List status.
Reemployment Lists. The names of employees who have been laid off due to reduction in force shall be placed on a layoff reemployment list for the classification the employee held at the time of the layoff. Each employee on a layoff reemployment list shall remain on that list for eighteen (18) months.

Reemployment Lists. An employee shall be placed on the Reemployment List for any classification from which laid off and any classification previously held in the unit. Employees shall be ranked on such lists in order of total Department seniority.
