Absence for Jury Duty. Any employee summoned to jury duty shall be paid his/her full salary for each working day of absence, provided that the employee pays the Board the jury fee less mileage expense.
Absence for Jury Duty a. Absence for jury duty shall not count in calculating absence limitations under other sections. The salary paid by the Xxxxxx City School District under such absence shall be at the regular rate.
b. An employee called for jury duty must report daily to the immediate supervisor as to the jury's schedule for the following work day.
c. An employee will be released from all school obligations the entire day of a jury summons, even if the jury duty lasts only a portion of that day.
d. The employee may retain any pay given by the court.
Absence for Jury Duty. Any employee of the Bergen County Technical Schools who must be absent because of jury duty shall be compensated at full salary less compensation received for such service.
Absence for Jury Duty. It is recognized that the policy of the State of Ohio as expressed in Section 2313.34 Ohio Revised Code, exempts from jury duty certain categories of persons. A bargaining unit member who is absent from duty for jury service shall be granted partial pay not to exceed the differences between the jury pay and the pay a bargaining unit member of the Board during such jury service. In accordance with the provisions of Sections 1901.24, 1913.14, and 2414.34 of the Revised Code, a bargaining unit member called to serve as a juror may seek an exemption, if available to him, from such service by forwarding the notice to the Superintendent or his designee who will, upon receipt of the notice, be responsible for notifying the appropriate Court of the available exemption.

b. Absence for court appearances which are the result of legal actions affecting the contractual obligations of teaching personnel shall not be counted against the sick leave of the teacher involved nor shall that teacher be docked pay.
c. Employees will submit to their supervisors’ jury documentation prior to the summons date. Employees will be released from all school obligations the entire day of a jury summons, even if the jury duty lasts only a portion of a day.
d. Employees will contact their supervisors’ before each day of jury duty to indicate that their jury obligation is still in effect.
Absence for Jury Duty. Any regular employee who has been lawfully summoned to report for jury service and/or who actually performs jury service, will be paid by the Company the basic straight-time rate of pay for such regular time as he/she is required to be absent from duty provided that:
1. The employee notifies the immediate supervisor on the employee’s first working day following receipt of such summons - unless prevented from doing so by conditions beyond the employee's control - and is assigned or reassigned, to a regular 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. tour for the period of such jury service.
2. Any such employee who on any day is excused from such jury duty, at a time that will permit him to return to work for a part of the day, shall communicate with the supervisor for such assignment as is reasonable under the circumstances.
Absence for Jury Duty. An employee who is summoned and reports for jury service shall be excused from work for the days on which s/he serves as a juror and s/he shall receive, for each such day of jury service on which s/he otherwise would have worked, his/her straight-time hourly rate for normally scheduled work hours.
A. It is understood that if an employee is called to serve as a juror and is temporarily excused from such service, or if s/he is not required to serve as a juror on any of his/her regularly scheduled workdays, s/he will report for work during his/her scheduled working hours.
B. In order to receive payment from the University for Jury service, an employee must give his/her supervisor notice that s/he has been summoned at the earliest practicable time.
Absence for Jury Duty. Leave of absence with pay shall be granted to a permanent employee for the performance of jury duty. In order to receive pay for such leave of absence, the employee, upon the employee’s receipt of payment for jury duty service, shall remit to the City Treasurer’s office the daily payment received for the days that the city paid the employee. The city will not request for payment of jury pay on the days the employee was not scheduled to work. Travel expenses included in such compensation shall be returned to the employee. On a day that an employee attends jury duty, they will not be expected to work any shift or any part there-of and will receive payment as stated above.
