Apprentice Employees. Apprentices are those workers who are registered with the State of Washington according to RCW 49.04 and are participating in a State approved training program administered by a joint labor-management committee.
Apprentice Employees. 37:01 The Board will participate in the training of apprentices under the terms of The Apprenticeship Act of the Province of Saskatchewan. In general terms, the program will operate as follows: 37:02 The Board may designate apprenticeship positions in certain trades if a Journeyperson posting cannot be filled either internally or externally. The minimum level to be considered by the Board will be second year apprentices. 37:03 Apprentice employees will be hired as a permanent employee subject to Article 37:09. They will be granted the same rights and benefits as other permanent employees. 37:04 As a requirement to entering an apprenticeship program, the employee and the Board will sign the ‘Form A - Contract Between Apprentice and Employer’ provided by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission. 37:05 Apprentice employees, indentured as Apprentices under the provisions of the Apprenticeship and Trades Training Act of Saskatchewan, shall receive: Second year apprentice – 70% of journeyperson wage as outlined in Schedule A Third year apprentice – 80% of journeyperson wage as outlined in Schedule A Fourth year apprentice – 90% of journeyperson wage as outlined in Schedule A 37:06 When an apprentice employee is required to complete technical training at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the employee shall submit a leave request to the Superintendent of Human Resources for approval for an unpaid leave of absence.
Apprentice Employees. The Employer and the Union agree that the Employer may institute a program of apprenticeship in all trades for which an Apprentice Training Program has been established by the Province of Ontario and that the provisions of the Apprenticeship and Tradesmen's Qualification Act, Bill 55, 1998 and amendments thereto, and the Regulations pursuant thereto, shall apply.

Apprentice Employees. Pre-Apprentice Employees are new hires not indentured in the apprenticeship program, upon immediate hire. The following conditions are to apply in the first four hundred and fifty (450) hours of hire: Pre-Apprentice employees accepted and indentured by the Local Apprenticeship Committee (LAC) will be credited with all hours worked to date towards this apprenticeship.
Apprentice Employees are uncertified trades employees who are hired to be Regular Apprentice Employees who have satisfactorily completed nine hundred sixty (960) hours of actual work performed and receive eighty percent (80%) of the certified trade wage as outlined in Schedule "A" in this Collective Agreement during the certification process.
Apprentice Employees. Apprentices shall be engaged under a Contract of Apprenticeship suitably lodged with a recognised training provider for the duration of their apprenticeship provided they maintain suitable employment standards. Upon completion of this contract of apprenticeship the employment of the apprentice will cease unless they are issued with a separate Contract of Employment issued by Cheetham Salt Limited.
Apprentice Employees. The Employer and the Union agree that the Employer may institute a program of apprenticeship in all trades for which an Apprentice Training Program has been established by the Province of Ontario and that the provisions of the Apprenticeship and Tradesmen's Qualification Act, Bill and amendments thereto, and the Regulations pursuant thereto, shall apply. Pay rates whilst serving their apprenticeship will be in accordance with Schedule It is understood that after an Xxxxxxxxxx has successfully served their apprenticeship with the Employer and becomes qualified in their trade, then they will receive the pay rate for their licensed job title. However, they must accept whatever position is available within their job title, regardless of shift. It is further understood and agreed that an Apprentice will not have any job posting privileges while they are an Apprentice. However, their seniority (including their time in school) will apply, so as to entitle them to Employee Benefits and in the event that they become qualified and licensed and stay on as a Employer employee as aforesaid, all their seniority from the inception of their apprenticeship shall be credited to them.
Apprentice Employees. The Corporation and the Union agree that the Corporation may institute a program of apprenticeship in all trades for which an Apprentice Training Program has been established by the Province of Ontario and that the provisions of any other regulatory bodies shall apply. The Union will be advised when an apprenticeship position is created and/or filled. The Lead Mechanics and Supervisor will have responsibility for assigning duties to meet the apprenticeship requirements. This may include being assigned to work with various technicians.

  • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure compliance with this Article and with Labor Code Section 1777.5 for all apprenticeable occupations. 6.36.2 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, the Contractor and any subcontractors under him employing workers in any apprenticeable craft or trade in performing any work under this Contract shall apply to the applicable joint apprenticeship committee for a certificate approving the Contractor or subcontractor under the applicable apprenticeship standards and fixing the ratio of apprentices to journeymen employed in performing the work. 6.36.3 Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1777.5 if that Section applies to this Contract as indicated above, he Contractor and any subcontractor under him may be required to make contributions to the apprenticeship program. 6.36.4 The Contractor and all subcontractors under him shall comply with Labor Code Section 1777.6 which Section forbids certain discriminatory practices in the employment of apprentices.

  • Supervisory Employees ‌ For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria: a) Employees on Salary Schedule 01 who under Plan A "Nature of Supervision" have either Degree 3 (or higher) or its equivalent; b) Employees on Schedules 02 or 03 on condition they normally supervise other employees.

  • Company Employees Each Party shall not, directly or indirectly solicit for employment, any employee of the other Party who has been directly involved in the performance of this Agreement during the Term and for one year after the earlier of the termination or expiration of this Agreement or the termination of such individual's employment, with the other Party. It shall not be a violation of this provision if any employee responds to a Party's general advertisement of an open position.

  • Apprenticeship 7.01 At such time, the parties agree to a training program, it is agreed to contact the California Nevada JATC to establish such program.

  • Other Employees Except as may be required in the performance of Employee’s duties hereunder, Employee shall not cause or induce, or attempt to cause or induce, any person now or hereafter employed by the Company or any of its affiliates to terminate such employment. This obligation shall remain in effect while Employee is employed by the Company and for a period of one (1) year thereafter.

  • Contractor’s Employees Contractor may, in its discretion and at its own expense, employ such assistants as Contractor deems necessary to perform the Services. If any specific employee is designated in Schedule 1 to perform the Services, Contractor may only replace such designated employee with SMUD’s prior written approval, and with a replacement satisfactory to SMUD. SMUD may not control, direct, or supervise Contractor or Contractor’s Representatives in the performance of the Services. Contractor agrees to assume full responsibility for the payment and deduction of all state and federal taxes and benefits from Contractor’s Representatives, including but not limited to any applicable payroll and income taxes, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, retirement, workers’ compensation, pension, or other social security benefits for all persons or entities employed or retained by Contractor in the performance of the Services under this Agreement, and if applicable for all self-employment and other taxes incurred by Contractor in the performance of the Services.
