Association Professional Leave. 1. The Board, upon request from the Association, shall grant the President of the Association temporary duty for the duration of the President’s term of office. All benefits enjoyed by employees shall be continued and accrued to the President of the Association.

Association Professional Leave. The Association President or his/her designee shall be granted sixteen (16) days leave to attend and participate in professional meetings as indicated by Section 3313.20 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Association President or his/her designee may use such leave for conducting Association business as deemed necessary by the Association President. Such leave will be granted if submitted in writing to the Association President’s or his/her designee’s immediate supervisor two (2) working days prior to the date of the leave. The Superintendent or his/her designee may agree to less notice in the case of an emergency. The sixteen (16) days of leave granted herein shall be with pay, and the District will assume the cost for the substitute teacher(s) but will not be obligated to pay any expenses incurred in attending the meeting(s). Additional Association Professional Leave as above may be granted to the Association President or his/her designee at the discretion of the Superintendent, provided a timely written request is submitted by the President with full description of the place, function, and purpose of such leave and the assumption by the Association of the costs for necessary substitutes. Any additional days granted under this paragraph shall be with pay, but the District shall not be obligated for the cost of substitute teacher(s) or any other expenses.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Extended Medical Leave A teacher who is unable to teach because of personal illness or disability and who has exhausted all available sick leave shall be granted leave for up to one (1) year. Any request for this leave must state the probable date of return and be accompanied by a verifying physician's statement. If the leave was granted as a result of a work related injury the employee may request and shall be granted a one (1) year extension of this leave. Before returning, such teacher must submit a physician's release. To be eligible for an extended medical leave of absence, an employee must have been actively employed on paid status with APS a minimum of one contract year immediately prior to the leave start date. All intermittent medical leaves will be addressed according to FMLA regulations.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Education Leave (a) If required by the Employer, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications.
