Association Related Meetings. 9.2.1 Based on the number eligible, officially elected delegates or alternates may attend the three (3) annual NEA/OEA Representative Assemblies by notifying the Superintendent/CEO of said leave at least ten (10) days prior to the absence. 9.2.2 The Board is not obligated for any expenses related to the assemblies except to provide time for said delegates or alternates. 9.2.3 The Board shall be responsible for providing substitutes in the absence of said delegates or alternates. 9.2.4 The Association may utilize up to ten (10) work days a year for release time purposes provided it pays the full cost of the substitutes salary, Medicare and workers compensation for the days utilized.

Days afforded by this section shall not exceed seven (7) days without mutual agreement.

After the third release day is taken, the Association will reimburse the District for the pay of the substitute teacher if one is hired to work for the absent Association representative. Approval from the Superintendent will be needed if three (3) or more consecutive days are desired.

The local Association President and officially elected delegates or alternates shall be granted leave to attend the OEA Spring and Fall Representative Xxxxxxxxxx, not to exceed three (3) days per delegate. Any additional leave for such meetings will be at the discretion of the Superintendent. Association business shall be conducted outside of school hours except in cases of exigent circumstances. 2. The Board is not obligated for any expenses related to the assemblies except to provide released time for said president, delegates, or alternates. 3. The Association shall be responsible for providing cost of substitute teachers in the absence of said president, delegates, or alternates. B. The Association President or President's designee shall also be allowed five (5) days released time in order to do Association-related business such as grievance hearings or building staff meetings. Such time will be at the President’s discretion (with notice to the Director of Human Resources) and the Association will pay one-half (1/2) of the substitute cost. Any additional leave time beyond the five (5) days will be at the discretion of the Superintendent. C. The Association President or his/her designee may request additional release time for Association business and the Association will pay for substitute wages for approved days.

(d) Notwithstanding 18.04(b), any faculty member may request that an Union representative attend as an observer at meetings where the faculty member reasonably believes their working conditions under Article 12 will be affected.   • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • Union/Management Meetings ‌ The Union Committee and the Senior Union Official of the Union, or her/his representative, shall, as occasion warrants, meet with the Committee on Labour Relations for the purpose of discussing and negotiating a speedy settlement of any grievance or dispute arising between the Employer and the employee concerned, including possible re-negotiations relative to this Agreement and the Schedules which are a part hereof. However, except for renegotiations of Agreements, these matters shall be introduced to such meetings only after the established grievance procedure has been followed. Grievances of a general nature may be initiated by a member of the Union Committee in step two of the grievance procedure outlined in Article 9.04.

  • Required Meetings or Hearings Whenever any employee is required to appear before the Superintendent or his designee, Board or any committee, member, representative or agent thereof concerning any matter which could adversely affect the continuation of that employee in his office, position, or employment or the salary of any increments pertaining thereto, then he shall be given prior written notice of the reasons for such meetings or interview and shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association present to advise him and represent him during such meetings or interview.

  • Meetings of the Partners (i) Meetings of the Partners may be called by the General Partner and shall be called upon the receipt by the General Partner of a written request by Limited Partners holding 25 percent or more of the Partnership Interests. (ii) The request shall state the nature of the business to be transacted. (ii) Such consent may be in one instrument or in several instruments, and shall have the same force and effect as a vote of a majority of the Percentage Interests of the Partners (or such other percentage as is expressly required by this Agreement). (iii) Such consent shall be filed with the General Partner. (iv) An action so taken shall be deemed to have been taken at a meeting held on the effective date of the consent as certified by the General Partner. (i) Each Limited Partner may authorize any Person or Persons to act for him by proxy on all matters in which a Limited Partner is entitled to participate, including waiving notice of any meeting, or voting or participating at a meeting. (ii) Every proxy must be signed by the Partner or an attorney-in-fact and a copy thereof delivered to the Partnership. (iii) No proxy shall be valid after the expiration of eleven (11) months from the date thereof unless otherwise provided in the proxy. (iv) Every proxy shall be revocable at the pleasure of the Partner executing it, such revocation to be effective upon the General Partner’s receipt of written notice of such revocation from the Partner executing such proxy. (i) Each meeting of the Partners shall be conducted by the General Partner or such other Person as the General Partner may appoint pursuant to such rules for the conduct of the meeting as the General Partner or such other Person deems appropriate. (ii) Meetings of Partners may be conducted in the same manner as meetings of the stockholders of the General Partner and may be held at the same time, and as part of, meetings of the stockholders of the General Partner.
