BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. 1. Building staff meetings and department head meetings will be held at such times as may be required by the principal or Superintendent. Meetings held at times other than the teacher's regular work day will not be held more often than 4 times per month. Members will not be required to spend more than 120 minutes per month nor more than 45 minutes beyond the normal school day in attendance at such meetings.
2. Building staff meetings the afternoon of teacher organizational day will be scheduled for not more than one hour with the remainder of the afternoon scheduled for class preparation.
3. Building administrators will use their best efforts to limit parent teacher conferences, I.A.T., and I.E.P. meetings conducted beyond school hours. Compensation will be given at the per diem rate for meetings lasting longer than one hour beyond the teacher’s duty day.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. The District may require building staff meetings and an attempt shall be made to mutually determine meeting times on a specific letter day. Consideration will also be made to not schedule a morning meeting after a building-wide evening requirement. Staff members may be required to attend two 45 minute meetings with a maximum of two meetings per month, beyond the normal work day. Total staff meeting required hours will not exceed 1.5 hours per month. A minimum of 5 CPDU hours will be provided for the year. The School Improvement Team will be utilized to plan and evaluate the need for and focus of staff meetings each month.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. Regular staff meetings will be announced two (2) days in advance, unless such staff meetings are of an emergency nature. The total time for required staff meetings will not exceed sixty (60) minutes per month nor shall any single staff meeting last longer than 30 minutes. Announcements concerning Association activities may be made by Association representatives at the conclusion of staff meetings.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. 8.1 Each teacher may be required to attend no more than two (2) staff meetings per month. A staff meeting is defined as a meeting concerning school business called by the Principal, which all teachers are required to attend. Teachers will be given a list of staff meetings at the opening meeting annually. Except in the case of an emergency, such required staff meetings will not extend beyond 4:30 p.m. and/or will not exceed sixty (60) minutes beyond the end of the contracted day. Early dismissal days with staff meetings will not extend beyond 4:30 p.m. and will not exceed sixty (60) minutes beyond the end of the contracted day. In addition, teachers may be required to attend other necessary meetings that the Principal schedules during the contracted day. Attendance at additional meetings held outside the contracted day will be voluntary unless they are called because of an emergency situation at the school.
8.2 Committee meetings are not staff meetings. These committee meetings shall be schedules at least five (5) school days in advance. Teachers may be assigned to committees by the Principal. Teachers may be required to attend one (1) committee meeting a month. Required committee meetings will not extend beyond 4:30 pm and/or will not exceed sixty (60) minutes beyond the end of the contracted day.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. Required building meetings that extend beyond the workday will not be held more than sixteen (16) times per year, except that additional special meetings may be held in case of emergency. Required meetings, other than emergency meetings, will not extend more than one (1) hour more than the bargaining unit member's regularly scheduled workday. Bargaining unit members with District assignments will attend the building meetings of the school designated as their home base (the school receiving the higher percentage of teaching time). Conflicts are to be resolved to the satisfaction of the Principals involved, with meeting requirements not to exceed those of the regular building staff. Attendance at other building meetings extending beyond the workday will be voluntary. The tentative meeting agenda normally will be distributed to bargaining unit members not later than the day before the meeting. Committee meetings that affect only a few bargaining unit members are not within the scope of this Section D. Absence from staff meetings requires prior approval of the Building Principal. A staff member who misses a meeting is responsible for getting the missed information from the Principal.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. A. It will be the building principal’s responsibility to develop and post a schedule of all regular building staff meetings as necessary for each school year. Meetings for staff members can be held before or after school. No time may be taken from the instruction day in order to have these meetings.
B. Except in the case of an emergency, such required staff meetings will not extend forty- five (45) minutes beyond the regularly scheduled day. Attendance shall be required for all building staff meetings unless a mutual agreement is worked out prior to this meeting between the principal and the individual staff member.
C. No more than four (4) meetings in any given month or a maximum of twelve (12) meetings per school year shall be held for which compulsory attendance is required, except in an emergency as determined by the building principal.

BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. Bargaining unit employees assigned to a school will be required to attend one (1) staff meeting per month during the school year as called by the Principal of that school. Where the bargaining unit employee is assigned to more than one school or building he/she will only be required to attend the monthly meetings in the building of the Principal who is responsible for evaluating that individual member. Except in the case of an emergency, such staff meetings will not extend beyond one (1) hours. The Principal may schedule staff meetings during the school year in an emergency. Except in an emergency situation, the Principal shall give notice of such meeting to the affected employees not later than noon of the school day proceeding the day in which the meeting is scheduled.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. All teachers assigned to a school will be required to attend one (1) staff meeting per month called by the Principal of that school. Thirty-five (35) minutes will be scheduled monthly for this purpose. In addition, the Principal may schedule such staff meetings he/she feels are required. Attendance shall be encouraged but shall remain voluntary. The Principal shall be responsible for dissemination of materials and information for all items covered at said meeting. Announcements concerning Association activities may be made by the Association representative at the conclusion of the staff meeting.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. A. All teachers assigned to a school center will be required to attend one (1) staff meeting per month by the Principal of that school. Forty-five (45) minutes will be scheduled monthly for this purpose. In addition, the principal may schedule such other staff meetings as he/she feels are required. Attendance shall be encouraged but voluntary subject to notification of the principal, unless they are called because of an emergency situation at the school. If the teacher does not attend the meeting, he/she will be responsible for obtaining materials and information for all items covered at said meeting. Announcements concerning Association activities may be made by Association representatives at the conclusion of staff meetings.
B. In up to three (3) of the required monthly meetings, the issue of student discipline will be placed on the agenda, if requested in writing by a member of the teaching staff.
BUILDING STAFF MEETINGS. All Paraprofessionals and Registered Nurses assigned to BMLC will be expected to attend and participate in the BMLC Meet and Greet. The remainder of the day shall be spent in preparation for the beginning of instruction. This day will be reflected in the employee’s work calendar. All Special Education and Regular Education Paraprofessionals shall work the day before the first day of student attendance to plan and prepare for the new school term. These beginning of the school year dates will be reflected in the employee’s work calendar. All non-certified employees are encouraged to attend before and after school building staff meetings. However, these meetings are voluntary and time to attend these meetings is unpaid. In the event BMLC Transportation Committee is convened to monitor drop off and pick up procedures, PASS shall have (2) two representatives; (1) one appointed by Administration and (1) one appointed by BMLC support staff.
